The Banshees of Inisherin on Blu-ray in December

The 2022 film “The Banshees of Inisherin” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 20th via Searchlight Pictures (Disney).  The film, written and directed by Martin McDonagh, stars Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon, and Barry Keoghan.  It is most certainly worth noting that this film is, at the time of writing, overwhelmingly “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.

Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound.  The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film.  You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at retailers Best Buy and Walmart.  The bonus materials set to be included with the release are listed below.

2021 horror film Antlers comes to Blu-ray in January

The 2021 film “Antlers” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on January 4th, 2022 via Searchlight Pictures (Disney). The film, directed by Scott Cooper, was produced by Guillermo del Toro and David S. Goyer and its cast includes Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, Jeremy T. Thomas, Graham Greene, Scott Haze, Rory Cochrane, and Amy Madigan.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. You cannot yet find the Blu-ray available for preorder anywhere, but stay tuned for an update on that. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film and the following extras.

The Eyes of Tammy Faye on Blu-ray in November

The 2021 film “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 16th via Disney. The film, based on the true story & documentary (of the same title), directed by Michael Showalter, stars Jessica Chastain, Andrew Garfield, Cherry Jones, Mark Wystrach, Sam Jaeger, and Vincent D’Onofrio.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. It should be noted that a 4K UHD digital version of the film will be available, but not physically. You cannot yet find the Blu-ray available for preorder at any retailers, but stay tuned for an update. The Blu-ray will come with a digital code (copy) of the film.

Nomadland with Frances McDormand on Blu-ray in April

The 2020 film “Nomadland” starring Frances McDormand is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on April 27th via Searchlight Pictures (Disney). The film, which is nominated for a total of six Academy Awards (including “Best Picture”), based on a book (written by Jessica Bruder) was directed by Chloé Zhao. This movie co-stars David StrathairnLinda May, and Charlene Swankie. It’s also worth noting that this film is, at this time, “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes based on critics’ reviews. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release will include a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now finally find the Blu-ray listed for preorder over at retailers Best Buy, Target, and Walmart as well as online retailer Deep Discount. There’s no Amazon preorder listing yet and because Disney doesn’t seem to like them, it may be a while before you can purchase it from there but stay tuned for an update on that.
