Ammonite starring Kate Winslet comes to Blu-ray in January

The 2020 film “Ammonite” starring Kate Winslet is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on January 12th via Universal. Yes, this comes as a bit of a last-minute announcement. The film, written and directed by Francis Lee, co-stars Saoirse Ronan, Gemma Jones, Fiona Shaw, Claire Rushbrook, Alec Secareanu, and James McArdle. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD presentation in the 1.85:1 and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound on a BD-25 (25 gigabytes single-layered) Blu-ray Disc. The release on Blu-ray can now be found to preorder over at Amazon. The only bonus material that is set to be included with the release is listed below.

The 2019 film adaptation of “Little Women“ is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on April 7th via Sony. The film, directed by Greta Gerwig and nominated for 6 Academy Awards, starred Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, Laura Dern, Timothée Chalamet, Chris Cooper, and Meryl Streep. At the time of writing this carries a “Certified Fresh” rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the DVD counterpart included along with a digital code (copy) of the film. “Mary Queen of Scots” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in February

The 2018 film “Mary Queen of Scots” starring Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on February 26th, via Universal. The film, directed by Josie Rourke, co-stars Jack Lowden, Joe Alwyn, Guy Pearce, and David Tennant. Tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video presented in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. Technical specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect with Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K release (a “combo pack”) will come with a Blu-ray included, and both releases will come with a Digital Copy of the film included.
