Disney film Moana on 4K UHD Blu-ray November

The 2016 animated film Moana is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 5th via Disney, according to retailers. The Academy Award-nominated film, co-directed by Ron Clements, John Musker, Don Hall, & Chris Williams, featured the voice talents of Auli’i CravalhoDwayne JohnsonRachel House, Temuera Morrison, Jemaine Clement, Nicole Scherzinger, and Alan Tudyk. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with the HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc and a digital code (copy) of the film. The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder over at Amazon. It is worth noting that there will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbook exclusive release at retailer Best Buy (pictured below).

The Princess and the Frog on 4K in November

The 2009 animated film The Princess and the Frog is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 5th via Disney, according to retailers. The film, directed by Ron ClementsJohn Musker, featured the voice talents of Anika Noni Rose, Bruno CamposKeith DavidOprah Winfrey, Terrence Howard, and John Goodman. Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. It’s worth noting that there will also be a 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbook exclusively available at retailer Best Buy (pictured below).

Disney’s 1992 animated Aladdin 4K September

The original 1992 animated film Aladdin is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 10th via Disney. The film, directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, featured the voice talents of Scott Weinger, Linda Larkin, Jonathan Freeman, Frank Welker, Gilbert Gottfried, and the late Robin Williams. Tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video in the 1.66:1 aspect ratio in HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon as well as over at retailers Best Buy and Target. Speaking of retailers, there will be exclusives in the form of a 4K Steelbook over at Best Buy and a 4K Booklet packaging over at Target. You can find both of those retailers exclusives available for pre-order and pictured below.

Disney’s animated “The Little Mermaid” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in February

The 1989 animated film “The Little Mermaid” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and getting a new Blu-ray Disc release on February 26th, via Disney. The film, directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, won a total of 2 Oscars (Academy Awards) for best music original song and best music original score. It’s also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray tech specs come with 2160p video presented in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The Blu-ray re-release will come with 1080p video presented in the 1.78:1 aspect and DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound. Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray included, the Blu-ray getting a DVD included, and both featuring a Digital Copy of the film. The 4K is not yet available to pre-order over at Amazon yet, but the Blu-ray Disc is – perhaps mislabeled (judging from price). Stay tuned for an update on that. You can however find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available to pre-order over at Best Buy.

It is also known that retailer Best Buy will be getting an Exclusive Steelbook 4K release, which you can already pre-order. Bonus materials set to be included on the 4K and new Blu-ray release are listed below.
