The 2020 film The Dry is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on January 18th, 2022 via RLJE Films. The film, directed by Robert Connolly & based on a book by Jane Harper, from IFC Films, stars Eric BanaGenevieve O’ReillyKeir O’Donnell, and John Polson. It’s most certainly worth noting, at the time of writing, that this film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.

Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The TV series Creepshow: Season 2 is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 7th, via RLJE Films. The original TV series, as seen on Shudder, is executive produced by makeup special effects legend Greg Nicotero. The cast for season 2 included Kevin Dillon, Ted Raimi, Ali Larter, Thomas Howell, Iman Benson, Josh McDermitt, Ashley Laurence, Keith David, Ryan Kwanten, Breckin Meyer, Molly Ringwald, Eric Edelstein, Barbara Crampton, Denise Crosby, Justin Long, D’Arcy Carden, Kiefer Sutherland, Joey King, Anna Camp, and Adam Pally.

The 2021 film “Prisoners of the Ghostland” starring Nicolas Cage is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in SteelBook form (as pictured above) and Blu-ray Disc on November 16th, via RLJE Films. The film, directed by Sion Sono, co-stars Sofia Boutella, Nick Cassavetes, Bill Moseley, Tak Sakaguchi, and Yuzuka Nakaya.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. It would appear that no form of HDR (high dynamic range) will be included with the 4K release, but I have asked if that is the case, so stay tuned for an update [or perhaps confirmation]. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The 4K release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will include the Blu-ray Disc counterpart.

“Creepshow: Season 1” comes to Blu-ray in May

The 2019 Shudder original TV series Creepshow: Season 1 is coming to Blu-ray Disc on May 19th, via Image Entertainment (RLJE), according to Amazon. The show was based on the first two films of the same title and was produced by Greg Nicotero. In its first season, across six episodes and 12 tales, the show featured guest stars such as Adrienne Barbeau, Tobin Bell, Giancarlo Esposito, Dana Gould, Jeffrey Combs, DJ Qualls, and David Arquette. Tech specs for the Blu-ray have yet to be fully detailed but it is known that you can expect it to span across a 3-disc set. Stay tuned for any updates regarding bonus materials as well for the release, if and when I can get more info regarding it. It’s certainly worth noting that you can now find the Blu-ray Disc set already available for preorder over at Amazon.

2018 thriller “Ride” starring Bella Thorne is coming to Blu-ray Disc in December

The 2018 thriller Ride starring Bella Thorne is coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 4th via RLJE according to an early alert to retailers. The film, written & directed by Jeremy Ungar, co-stars Jessie T. Usher and Will Brill. Tech specs and bonus materials have not yet been detailed for this release, but stay tuned. The title is available now for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon. RLJE Films acquired the theatrical and home video distribution rights to this film back in July, as can be read in an article from Variety. The film (as of last week) is getting a limited theatrical run.

“Beyond the Sky” with Ryan Carnes and Jordan Hinson on Blu-ray in November

The 2018 Fulvio Sestito directed film Beyond the Sky starring Ryan Carnes and Jordan Hinson is coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 6th via RLJ Entertainment, according to an early alert to retailers. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed, but stay tuned for any updates. The film co-stars Peter Stormare, Dee Wallace, Claude DuhamelMartin Sensmeier, and Don Stark. The title on Blu-ray is now available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon.

2018 film “Arizona” comes to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in early October

The 2018 film “Arizona” starring Rosemarie DeWitt and Danny McBride is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 16th via RLJ Entertainment. The film, directed by Jonathan Watson, also co-stars Luke WilsonElizabeth GilliesKaitlin OlsonDavid Alan GrierLolli Sorenson, and Seth Rogen. Tech specs for the release and bonus materials have not yet been detailed, but stay tuned. It is known (via the art pictured above) that the 4K release will also include a Blu-ray. The film is available for PRE-ORDER on both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray over at Amazon.
