Mel Brooks film Spaceballs is coming to 4K in April

The 1987 Mel Brooks film “Spaceballs” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on April 13th via KL Studio Classics. This news was just unveiled by the distributor via a Tweet. In that tweet, you can see the reversible cover artwork. The film, co-written & directed by Mel Brooks, featured a cast of Bill PullmanJohn CandyRick Moranis, Daphne Zuniga, Dick Van Patten, the voice of Joan Rivers, and of course Mel Brooks. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray have not yet been detailed but stay tuned for hopefully an update on that. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it’ll include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart. KL Studio Classics has announced the bonus materials will consist of the following.

“Ghostbusters 1 & 2” 35th Anniversary 4K Steelbook in June

The Ivan Reitman directed films “Ghostbusters” (1984) and “Ghostbusters II” (1989) are both getting a special 35th Anniversary Limited Edition 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbook release on June 11th via Sony. The Ghostbusters 1 & 2: 35th Anniversary Limited Edition 4K Steelbook had first been reported by the folks over at Ghostbusters.net and now it is available for pre-order over at Amazon. The 4K tech specs remain identical to the previously released 4K UHD Blu-ray versions of the two films. However, a large number of new bonus materials are going to be included exclusively in this release. The full list of extras set to be included on an extra bonus disc can be found below, after the break.
