The 2015 film The Visit is coming to 4K in late November

The 2015 film “The Visit” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 26th via KL Studio Classics. The film, written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, starred Olivia DeJonge, Ed Oxenbould, Deanna Dunagan, Peter McRobbie, Kathryn Hahn, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Patch Darragh, Jorge Cordova, and Benjamin Kanes.

The movie has received a new 4K master. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video club in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo sound, on a BD-100 disc. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon or preorder directly via Kino Lorber’s website. The contents and bonus materials for this 2-disc set are listed below.

Blumhouse’s “The First Purge” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in October

The 2018 Blumhouse produced film “The First Purge“ directed by Gerard McMurray is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 2nd via Universal Studios. The first retailer showing its release date is Best Buy, as you can see. It’s already available for PRE-ORDER on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc. Both releases will come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K release including a Blu-ray, the Blu-ray release including a DVD, and both getting a Digital Copy of the film included.

UPDATE: Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray release include 2160p 4K video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 (for of High Dynamic Range) and DTS:X sound. The Blu-ray Disc release tech specs include full 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS:X sound.
