Superman 2025 on 4K and Blu-ray in September

The 2025 film “Superman” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on September 23rd via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. James Gunn directed and co-wrote the DC Studios film. It stars David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult. The film also stars Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell. It’s certainly worth noting that the movie is “Certified Fresh” by critics and “Verified Hot” by audiences over at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound. Both physical media format releases will include a digital copy, compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The 2023 film Renfield is coming to 4K in April

The 2023 film “Renfield” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on April 1st via Scream Factory. The film was directed by Chris McKay. It starred Nicholas Hoult, Awkwafina, Nicolas Cage, Ben Schwartz, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Brandon Scott Jones.
The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound. This release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

Nosferatu comes to 4K and Blu-ray in February

The 2024 film adaptation of “Nosferatu” will come to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on February 18th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film is directed and co-written by Robert Eggers. It stars Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, and Willem Dafoe. It’s worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, based on critics’ reviews.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.66:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.66:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. Both releases will include an “Extended Cut” of the film as well as the theatrical cut. Also, both releases will include a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The film, directed by Taylor Sheridan, co-stars Jon Bernthal, Nicholas Hoult, Jake Weber, Finn Little, Aidan Gillen, Medina Senghore, and Tyler Perry. The tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD video presentation and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film via Movies Anywhere. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. There will only be one bonus feature on this release, called “Making Those Who Wish Me Dead.”

The film, directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon and executive produced by Martin Scorsese, featured a cast including Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, Nicholas Hoult, Matthew Macfadyen, Tuppence Middleton, and Tom Holland. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound on a BD-50 (50 gigabytes dual-layered) disc. “Dark Phoenix” on 4K and Blu-ray in September
The 2019 “X-Men” film “Dark Phoenix” is reportedly coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on September 17th via Fox, according to early alerts to retailers. The film, directed by Simon Kinberg, features a cast comprised of James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Evan Peters, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Jessica Chastain.
Tech specs for the releases and bonus materials have not been officially detailed yet, but stay tuned for an update. The 4K release will come in the form of “combo pack” with the Blu-ray included and each release will be getting a digital copy of the film included. You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray both now available to pre-order over at Best Buy (with release date listed).
