The 2007 film Shooter is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray for the first time, in a Limited Edition SteelBook to celebrate its 15th Anniversary, on March 15th, 2022 via Paramount Home Entertainment, according to Amazon. The film, directed by Antoine Fuqua, starred Mark Wahlberg, Michael Peña, Danny Glover, Kate Mara, and Elias Koteas.

UPDATE: The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound.

The release will come with just the 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc and not a Blu-ray. It will also include a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available for preorder over at Amazon. No word yet on what bonus materials will be included. Stay tuned for further details regarding this upcoming release.

The 2021 film Tom and Jerry is coming to Blu-ray in May

The 2021 film adaptation of “Tom & Jerry The Movie” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on May 18th via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Tim Story, stars Chloë Grace MoretzMichael PeñaColin Jost, Rob Delaney, Patsy Ferran, Pallavi Sharda, and Ken Jeong. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. You cannot find the Blu-ray available for preorder yet, but stay tuned for an update. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. Bonus materials set to be included with the release are listed below.

The film, produced by Jason Blum and directed by Jeff Wadlow, stars Michael Peña, Maggie Q, Lucy Hale, Austin Stowell, Jimmy O. Yang, Portia Doubleday, Ryan Hansen, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Mike Vogel, and Michael Rooker. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The release will include both the UNRATED and theatrical versions of the film. You can now find the Blu-ray listed for preorder over at Amazon and at retailer Best Buy. The release will include a digital code (copy) of the film. Dora and the Lost City of Gold comes to Blu-ray

The 2019 film Dora and the Lost City of Gold is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 19th via Paramount. The film, directed by James Bobin and based on the Nickelodeon animated TV series (“Dora the Explorer”), stars Isabela MonerEugenio Derbez, Eva LongoriaMichael Peña, Jeff Wahlberg, Danny Trejo, and features the voice talent of Benicio Del Toro (as “Swiper”). It’s worth noting that, at time of writing, this film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the release have not yet been fully detailed but you can expect 1080p video likely in the 1.85:1 theatrical aspect ratio and a lossless surround mix. I’ve asked Paramount for more details and I will update this post if and when I get those. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the DVD counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film included. You can find the Blu-ray is now available for preorder over at Amazon. The 2015 Marvel Studios film Ant-Man starring Paul Rudd appears to be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 1st via Marvel (Disney), according to multiple retailer listings. The film, part of the “Marvel Cinematic Universe” and directed by Peyton Reed, co-starred Michael DouglasCorey Stoll, Evangeline Lilly, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, and Michael Peña. Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray and a digital code (copy) of the film included. You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray now available for pre-order over at Amazon and at Best Buy. Speaking of retailer Best Buy, they will be getting a 4K Exclusive Steelbook release of the film (pictured below) which is available for pre-order as well.

The bonus materials set to be included on the release will be identical to those found on the previous Blu-ray, as they actually use that disc for the extras. No new extras will be included on this 4K release.
