Scott Pilgrim vs. the World on 4K UHD Blu-ray in July

According to retailers, the 2010 film “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 6th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, based on the “Scott Pilgrim” graphic novels, was directed by Edgar Wright and starred Michael CeraMary Elizabeth WinsteadKieran Culkin, Anna Kendrick, Alison Pill, Aubrey Plaza, Jason Schwartzman, Ellen Wong, Johnny Simmons, Mark Webber, Brie Larson, Mae Whitman, Brandon Routh, and Chris Evans.

UPDATE: The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of high dynamic range as well as Dolby Atmos sound on a BD-100 disc. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will include its Blu-ray counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film.

You can now find the standard 4K UHD Blu-ray listed to preorder over at Amazon. There will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook exclusive to retailer Best Buy (pictured below) which is now available for preorder.

Gus Van Sant film “Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far On Foot” on Blu-ray in October

The 2018 Gus Van Sant directed film “Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far On Foot” starring Joaquin Phoenix is coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 9th via Lionsgate. The film, based on the true story / book by John Callahan, co-stars Jonah Hill, Rooney Mara, Jack Black, and Carrie Brownstein. The film is (at time of writing) “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes, where it currently carries a 75% rating. Tech specs for the release include full 1080p HD video in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The title is now yet available for pre-order, but stay tuned for an update.
