A Big Bold Beautiful Journey on Blu-ray in December

The 2025 film “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” arrives on Blu-ray Disc on December 23rd via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Kogonada directed the movie, which stars Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell. It co-stars Kevin Kline, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Jennifer Grant, and Hamish Linklater.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.00:1 aspect ratio with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The release will include a digital copy of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon and Walmart. The bonus materials set to be included with this release are listed below.

2022 film Amsterdam on 4K and Blu-ray in December

The 2022 film “Amsterdam” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on December 6th via 20th Century Studios (Disney).  The film, which was written and directed by David O. Russell, stars Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Chris Rock, Anna Taylor-Joy, Zoe Saldana, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Taylor Swift, Rami Malek, and Robert De Niro.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound.  Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 lossless surround sound.  Yes, the Blu-ray does not get the Dolby Atmos mix.  The 4K release will be in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will come with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and both versions will include a digital code (copy) of the film.

You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray both available for preorder over at retailer Best Buy.  Also, over at retailer Walmart, you can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray available for preorder as well.  The only bonus material set to be included with both releases is listed below.

The Wolf of Wall Street coming to 4K in December

The 2013 film “The Wolf of Wall Street“ is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 14th via Paramount Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Martin Scorsese and based on a true story, starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, Matthew McConaughey, Kyle Chandler, Rob Reiner, Jon Bernthal, and Jon Favreau.

The movie has received a new transfer that was supervised by the director, Martin Scorsese. The tech specs for the release have not yet all been detailed but stay tuned for an update. The 2160p video presentation should at least include HDR10 form of high dynamic range. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the standard 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. It’s also worth noting that a limited edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) will be available on the same date.

UPDATE: This 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook is now available for preorder over at Amazon and is listed as “coming soon” over at retailer Best Buy.

The Suicide Squad on 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2021 film “The Suicide Squad” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 26th via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film, written and directed by James Gunn, stars Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, Viola Davis, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Peter Capaldi, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior, Michael Rooker, Alice Braga, Pete Davidson, Nathan Fillion, Flula Borg, Jai Courtney, Steve Agee, Sean Gunn, and features the voice of Sylvester Stallone.

UPDATED: The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.90:1 aspect ratio with HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the same 1.90:1 aspect ratio and with the same Dolby Atmos sound. Retailer Best Buy will be getting an exclusive release of the 4K UHD Blu-ray in SteelBook form (pictured below) that is also available for preorder.

The releases are both going to each come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that the 4K will come with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and the Blu-ray will come with its DVD counterpart. Both will also include a digital code (copy) of the film that is confirmed to be compatible with Movies Anywhere. RUMOR: “Birds of Prey” on 4K and Blu-ray May

The 2020 film “Birds of Prey” starring Margot Robbie, as “Harley Quinn”, appears to be coming to physical media on both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc, via Warner, on May 12th – according to retailers. This comes after the film was recently released early digitally when theaters closed during these strange times we currently are living in. The film, directed by Cathy Yan, co-stars Rosie Perez, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Ella Jay Basco, Chris Messina, and Ewan McGregor. The tech specs for the releases have not yet been detailed but it is believed that the 4K will receive both HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range as well as Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K it is known from the artwork (pictured above) will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray and a digital code (copy) of the film included. So far, that’s all based on retail sources and has not yet been officially announced by the studio (Warner), making it technically a RUMOR. You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and the Blu-ray both available for preorder over at Amazon. It’s worth noting you can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray as well as over at retailer Best Buy, who will be getting an exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below), also now available for preorder.
