The TV show “The Boys: Seasons 1 & 2 Collection“ will officially be coming to Blu-ray Disc on May 31st via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The show, as seen on Prime Video, was created by Eric Kripke, and it stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Elisabeth Shue, Colby Minifie, and Aya Cash.
The tech specs for the release include a 1080p video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. There’s one problem with that aspect ratio the press release [later shown in full] mentions. The show is actually listed [on IMDb] to air in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio on Prime Video. So, that’s either a typo or an odd choice? We shall soon see. P.S. Fun fact, this show is said to be shot in 7K resolution digitally.
