The Wolf of Wall Street coming to 4K in December

The 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 14th via Paramount Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Martin Scorsese and based on a true story, starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, Matthew McConaughey, Kyle Chandler, Rob Reiner, Jon Bernthal, and Jon Favreau.

The movie has received a new transfer that was supervised by the director, Martin Scorsese. The tech specs for the release have not yet all been detailed but stay tuned for an update. The 2160p video presentation should at least include HDR10 form of high dynamic range. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the standard 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. It’s also worth noting that a limited edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) will be available on the same date.

UPDATE: This 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook is now available for preorder over at Amazon and is listed as “coming soon” over at retailer Best Buy.

21 Jump Street and sequel both on 4K in September

The films 21 Jump Street (2012) and the sequel 22 Jump Street (2014) are both officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 15th, via Sony. Both of these movies, directed by Phil LordChristopher Miller, starred Jonah HillChanning Tatum, and Ice Cube. Tech specs for each film include a 2160p 4K presentation in the 2.40:1 and 2.39:1 aspect ratios with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range as well as Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound.

R-rated comedy Good Boys on Blu-ray November

The R-rated coming of age comedy Good Boys from director Gene Stupnitsky is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 12th via Universal. The film, produced by Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, and Evan Goldberg, features a cast of rowdy youngsters played by Jacob Tremblay, Keith L. Williams, Brady Noon, as well as Molly Gordon, Midori Francis, Josh Caras, and Will Forte. Tech specs include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The 2019 comedy The Beach Bum starring Matthew McConaughey and Snoop Dogg is coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 11th via Universal. The film, written & directed by Harmony Korine, co-stars Isla Fisher, Jimmy Buffett, Zac Efron, Jonah Hill, and Martin Lawrence. Tech specs for the release include 1080p video in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sounds. The release will come with a digital copy of the film. DreamWorks animation “How to Train Your Dragon” and sequel on 4K in January

The DreamWorks animated film How to Train Your Dragon (2010) and its sequel How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014) are both coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on January 22nd, 2019 via Universal. Each film will be released individually, as learned from an early alert to retailers. Both films feature the voice talents of Jay BaruchelCate Blanchett, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-PlasseT.J. Miller, Kristen Wiig, and Gerard Butler. Tech specs for the 4K releases include 2160p video in the 2.35:1 with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and DTS:X sound, on each film. Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc and Digital Copy of the film included.

You can find pre-order listings up for the 4K UHD Blu-ray versions of How to Train Your Dragon and How to Train Your Dragon 2 now over at Amazon. Jonah Hill written and directed film “mid90s” comes to Blu-ray in January

The 2018 film mid90s written and directed by Jonah Hill is coming to Blu-ray Disc on January 8th, 2019 via Lionsgate. The cast to this film features Sunny Suljic, Katherine WaterstonLucas Hedges, Na-kel Smith, Gio GaliciaOlan Prenatt, and Ryder McLaughlin. This movie (at time of writing) is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes, as it seems to have been received well by both critics and moviegoers alike. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include 1080p video in the 1.33:1 (4×3) aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon. This release will come with a Digital Copy of the film included. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.
