The 1993 film Coneheads comes to 4K in August

The 1993 film “Coneheads” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Special Edition Blu-ray on August 19th via KL Studio Classics. Steve Barron directed the movie. It starred Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, Michelle Burke, Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, and David Spade. Additionally, it co-starred Laraine Newman, Garrett Morris, Phil Hartman, Tim Meadows, Kevin Nealon, Jan Hooks, and Jon Lovitz.
The movie has received a new master from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10, accompanied by DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound and 2.0 stereo sound, on a BD-100. The tech specs for the Special Edition Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, accompanied by DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.
