King Richard with Will Smith comes to 4K and Blu-ray

The 2021 film “King Richard” is officially coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on February 8th, 2022 via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.  The film, directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green & based on a true story, stars Will Smith, Aunjanue Ellis, Jon Bernthal, Saniyya Sidney, and Demi Singleton.  It is most certainly worth noting, that at the time of writing, this film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound.  Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound.  The 4K UHD Blu-ray release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning it will include its Blu-ray counterpart.  Both releases will include a digital code (copy) of the film which is compatible with Movies Anywhere.  You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and the Blu-ray both available for preorder over at Amazon.  The bonus materials set to be included with the releases are listed below.

The 2021 film The Many Saints of Newark is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 21st via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film, a prequel to the HBO TV series “The Sopranos” was co-written & produced by the show’s creator David Chase, and directed by Alan Taylor. The film stars Alessandro Nivola, Tony Leslie Odom Jr., Jon Bernthal, Corey Stoll, Michael Gandolfini, Billy Magnussen, Michela De Rossi, Vera Farmiga, and John Magaro.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound. The Wolf of Wall Street coming to 4K in December

The 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 14th via Paramount Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Martin Scorsese and based on a true story, starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, Matthew McConaughey, Kyle Chandler, Rob Reiner, Jon Bernthal, and Jon Favreau.

The movie has received a new transfer that was supervised by the director, Martin Scorsese. The tech specs for the release have not yet all been detailed but stay tuned for an update. The 2160p video presentation should at least include HDR10 form of high dynamic range. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the standard 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. It’s also worth noting that a limited edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) will be available on the same date.

The film, based on a true story & directed by James Mangold, co-stars Jon Bernthal, Tracy Letts, and Remo Girone. This movie has received quite a bit of critical acclaim during its theatrical run, in fact, at the time of writing this carries a “Certified Fresh” rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The technical specifications for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 sound. The 2018 Steve McQueen directed film “Widows” is slated for release on both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc formats February 5th, 2018 via Fox The film’s cast includes Viola DavisMichelle RodriguezElizabeth Debicki, Cynthia Erivo, Colin Farrell, Jon Bernthal, Robert Duvall, and Liam Neeson. This film has received mostly positive reviews from critics. In fact, Widows is currently “Certified Fresh” (at time of writing) over at Rotten Tomatoes.
