The 2016 film Hush is coming to 4K in November

The 2016 film “Hush” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 26th via Scream Factory. The film, co-written & directed by Mike Flanagan, starred John Gallagher Jr., Kate Siegel, Michael Trucco, Samantha Sloyan, and Emma Graves. It’s worth noting that this film was originally seen on Netflix and happens to be “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.

This release features a new 2024 4K restoration supervised and approved by Director Mike Flanagan. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound mixes. The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon. The 4K UHD Blu-ray is also available for preorder directly via Shout! Factory’s website. There are also two different exclusive versions available for preorder directly from Shout! Factory. One exclusive version includes an exclusive alternate slipcover and 2 posters and the other version has those autographed by the film’s director Mike Flanagan.

The bonus materials included with this 4-disc “combo pack” are listed below, including the original version and “Shush Cut,” presented in both 4K and HD.

Sci-Fi Thriller I.S.S. is coming to Blu-ray in March

The 2023 science fiction thriller “I.S.S.” (short for International Space Station) is coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 12th via Decal Releasing, distributing for Bleeker Street.  The film, still in theaters, was directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and the entire cast includes Ariana DeBose, Chris Messina, John Gallagher Jr., Masha Mashkova, Costa Ronin, and Pilou Asbæk.

The tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound.  You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon and Walmart.  This release will be region A locked. It appears it will contain no bonus material.

Come Play starring Gillian Jacobs on Blu-ray in January

The 2020 horror film “Come Play” starring Gillian Jacobs is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on January 26th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, written & directed by Jacob Chase, co-stars Azhy Robertson, John Gallagher Jr., and Winslow Fegley. The tech specs for the release on Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound on a BD-50 (dual-layered 50 gigabytes) Blu-ray Disc. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film which is compatible with Movies Anywhere. You can now find the Blu-ray available to preorder over at Amazon. The 2020 film “Underwater“ starring Kristen Stewart is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on April 14th, via Fox. The film, directed by William Eubank, co-stars Vincent Cassel, Jessica Henwick, John Gallagher Jr., Mamoudou Athie, and T.J. Miller. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 sound. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. You cannot yet find the title available for preorder over at Amazon, but stay tuned for an update on that. However, the Blu-ray is already listed for preorder over at retailer Best Buy. The 2018 Pierre Morel directed film “Peppermint“ starring Jennifer Garner is coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 11th via Universal. The film co-stars John Gallagher Jr., John Ortiz, Juan Pablo Raba, Annie Ilonzeh, Jeff Hephner, Cailey Fleming, and Method Man. Tech specs for the release include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD and Digital Copy of the film included. The title is now available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon.
