Hey Arnold! The Movie comes to Blu-ray in February

Amazon Commissions Earned

Hey Arnold! The Movie from 2002 is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on February 15th via Nickelodeon and Paramount Home Entertainment, as a MOD (manufactured-on-demand) release. This was a spin-off and the only feature-length film from the popular Nickelodeon animated TV show Hey Arnold! that originally premiered back in 1996.

The film, directed by the late Tuck Tucker, featured the voice talents of Spencer Klein, Jamil Walker Smith, Dan Castellaneta, Francesca Marie Smith, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Paul Sorvino, and Christopher Lloyd.

The tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD video presentation (presumably in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio) with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround on a BD-25 disc.  It has not been clarified if these discs will be pressed or burnt but you’ll be able to preorder the Blu-ray MOD release directly via Movie Znyg. UPDATED:  Also, you’ll be able to buy the Blu-ray over at Amazon and retailer Walmart.com, where it’s now available for preorder.  No bonus materials will be included with this release.

NOTE: This will mark the debut of this film on the Blu-ray Disc format. It has never been available in HD on home video until this upcoming release.

The 2018 film White Boy Rick starring Matthew McConaughey and Richie Merritt is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 25th via Sony. The film, based on a true story, was directed by Yann Demange. This co-stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Brian Tyree Henry, Jonathan Majors, YG, Bruce Dern, Piper Laurie, Rory Cochrane, and RJ Cyler.

Tech specs for the release have not yet been officially announced, but I’m going to speculate on it getting 1080p in the 2.39:1 aspect (as theatrically shown) with a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix – typical on Sony Blu-ray releases. I’ve reached out directed to Sony about this and should have a reply hopefully sometime soon. The Blu-ray  is now available to pre-order over at Amazon and at Best Buy. The release will come with a Digital Copy of the film. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.
