The 2011 film Paul arrives on 4K in November

The 2011 science fiction/comedy “Paul“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 18th via KL Studios Classics [Kino Lorber]. Greg Mottola directed the film. It starred Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and featured the voice talent of Seth Rogen. It also co-starred Jason Bateman, Kristin Wiig, Bill Hader, Sigourney Weaver, Jane Lynch, and Jeffrey Tambor.
The theatrical cut of the movie has received a new 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative (approved by Director Greg Mottola). The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo sound, on a BD-100 disc.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon and Walmart. It was just added, so it’s at its MSRP, and you can expect that price to drop. Also, you can preorder directly via Kino Lorber’s website.

The film, directed by Nathan Greno & Byron Howard, featured the voice talents of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, Donna Murphy, Ron Perlman, M.C. Gainey, Jeffrey Tambor, and Brad Garrett. Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray now available for preorder over at Amazon. It’s worth noting that the release will also be getting a 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbook release exclusive to retailer Best Buy (pictured below).

2004 Hellboy film on 4K UHD Blu-ray in October
The 2004 Guillermo del Toro directed film adaptation of “Hellboy“ is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 15th via Sony. The film starred Ron Perlman, Doug Jones, Selma Blair, Jeffrey Tambor, and John Hurt. Tech specs for the release include remastered video in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos, as well as the original theatrical 5.1 sound – likely in DTS-HD Master Audio. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc and digital copy (code) of the film included. UPDATE: This title on 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon. There will also be a 4K Steelbook for the release Exclusive to retailer Best Buy, which is now available for pre-order but lacks any artwork. Stay tuned for an update on that.
Both the Theatrical and Director’s Cut versions of the film will be presented on the 4K disc. The bonus materials set to be included on the release, with some 4K exclusives, are listed below.
