Going Berserk with John Candy on Blu-ray in December

The 1983 comedy Going Berserk is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 14th via Shout Select (Shout! Factory). This movie will be making its debut in North America on the Blu-ray format. The film, directed by David Steinberg, starred “SCTV” cast members John Candy, Joe Flaherty, and Eugene Levy. It co-starred Alley Mills, Pat Hingle, Kurtwood Smith, and Ernie Hudson.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and a lossless sound mix (not yet detailed). The Blu-ray is not yet available for preorder over at Amazon, but there’s a product page already up. Stay tuned for an update on that. In the meantime, you can already preorder the Blu-ray directly via the ShoutFactory.com website. The bonus materials for the release are “in progress and will be announced at a later date” according to Shout! Factory.

1994 film The Cowboy Way comes to Blu-ray in February

The 1994 film The Cowboy Way” starring Woody Harrelson and Kiefer Sutherland is coming to Blu-ray Disc, for the first time, on February 16th, 2021, via Mill Creek Entertainment. The film, directed by Gregg Champion, co-starred Dylan McDermott, Ernie Hudson, Cara Buono, Marg Helgenberger, Tomas Milian, and Luis Guzmán. Tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed and nor have bonus materials — if any will be included. Stay tuned for a possible update on that. “Ghostbusters 1 & 2” 35th Anniversary 4K Steelbook in June


The Ivan Reitman directed films “Ghostbusters” (1984) and “Ghostbusters II” (1989) are both getting a special 35th Anniversary Limited Edition 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbook release on June 11th via Sony. The Ghostbusters 1 & 2: 35th Anniversary Limited Edition 4K Steelbook had first been reported by the folks over at Ghostbusters.net and now it is available for pre-order over at Amazon. The 4K tech specs remain identical to the previously released 4K UHD Blu-ray versions of the two films. However, a large number of new bonus materials are going to be included exclusively in this release.
