The 1995 comedy “Billy Madison“ starring Adam Sandler comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 29th via KL Studio Classics. Tamra Davis directed the film, which Adam Sandler co-wrote and produced. The movie co-starred Darren McGavin, Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, Bradley Whitford, Chris Farley, Norm MacDonald, Josh Mostel, Steve Buscemi, and Robert Smigel.

The movie has received a new master from a new 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 form of high dynamic range. Audio will be presented in lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo configurations. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. The 1978 film “Convoy” will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 22nd via KL Studio Classics. Sam Peckinpah directed the movie. It starred Kris Kristofferson, Ali MacGraw, Ernest Borgnine, Burt Young, and Seymour Cassel.

The movie has received a new master by StudioCanal, from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range, on a BD-100 disc. The 1987 film Lethal Weapon comes to 4K in June

The 1987 film “Lethal Weapon” on June 24th comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray & 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook. The releases come via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. Retailers seem to confirm this information, although the studio has not officially announced the title. Richard Donner directed this film. It starred Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. Other cast members included Gary Busey, Mitchell Ryan, Tom Atkins, Darlene Love, and Traci Wolfe. These 4K releases will include both the Theatrical (101 minutes) and Director’s Cut (117 minutes).

The tech specs for the 4K release(s) include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Atmos (for the Director’s Cut). The Theatrical Cut will be presented in lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Stereo. The releases include a digital copy of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The 2000 comedy “Road Trip” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 24th via KL Studio Classics. Todd Phillips directed and co-wrote this movie. It starred Breckin Meyer, Seann William Scott, Amy Smart, Tom Green, Fred Ward, and DJ Qualls. It also co-starred Rachel Blanchard, Paulo Costanzo, Anthony Rapp, Andy Dick, Horatio Sanz, and Ethan Suplee.

The theatrical cut (93 minutes) has received a new master. Paramount Pictures created this new master from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10. It will feature lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Stereo sound, on a BD-100 disc. The 2-disc release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. The Blu-ray will include the theatrical cut and the UNRATED cut (94 minutes). That unrated cut comes from an HD master.

The 1968 musical Oliver! is coming to 4K in May

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release the 1968 musical “Oliver!” on 4K UHD Blu-ray on May 20th. Carol Reed directed the movie. It starred Ron Moody, Oliver Reed, Harry Secombe, Shani Wallis, and Mark Lester. This film won 6 Academy Awards (“Oscars”). Still to this day, the movie is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

NOTE: This film was formerly included on a 4K UHD Blu-ray exclusively in a box set. It was part of the “Columbia Classics: 4K Ultra HD Collection – Volume 2” box set released in 2021. This will be the first time the film has been released individually in 4K on physical media.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with HDR10. There will be Dolby Atmos, lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround, and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 (2-channel surround) sound on a BD-100 disc.
