Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride on 4K in September

The 2005 film “Corpse Bride” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook and 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 23rd. Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment will be distributing the releases. Tim Burton co-wrote and co-directed the stop-motion animated film with the help of co-director Mike Johnson. It featured the voices of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, Tracey Ullman, Christopher Lee, and Albert Finney.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, accompanied by HDR10 and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K SteelBook and standard 4K releases will both include a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere.

28 Years Later on 4K and Blu-ray in September

The 2025 sequel “28 Years Later” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, 4K UHD Blu-ray, and Blu-ray on September 23rd. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be distributing. The movie was directed by Danny Boyle and was written by Alex Garland. It stars Alfie Williams, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes, and Jack O’Connell. The movie is “Certified Fresh” based on critic reviews at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.76:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range. It will feature Dolby Atmos sound. The Blu-ray tech specs include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.76:1 aspect with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook and 4K UHD Blu-ray will both come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with the Blu-ray counterpart included. All of the home video releases on 4K and Blu-ray will include a digital copy of the movie compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The 2021 film “Nightmare Alley“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 28th via The Criterion Collection. Guillermo del Toro directed and co-wrote the movie. It starred Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, and Willem Dafoe. It also co-starred Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, and David Strathairn. It’s worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, based on critics’ reviews.
The theatrical cut movie has received a 4K digital master. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10, along with Dolby Atmos sound for the theatrical cut. Also, you’ll get a 4K digital master of “Nightmare Alley: Vision in Darkness and Light” (2025) on a separate 4K disc. This is “a new 159-minute, black-and-white extended director’s cut, supervised by director Guillermo del Toro.” The other 4K tech specs include a 2160p Black & White video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10, along with a lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound mix.
This 4-disc release will come as a “combo pack” and include a 4K for each version of the film as well as a Blu-ray for each version of the film. Christopher McQuarrie directed and co-wrote the film. It stars Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Henry Czerny. It’s certainly worth noting that this movie is rated both “Certified Fresh” based on reviews by critics and “Verified Hot” by audiences at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in 2.39:1 and 1.90:1 shifting aspect ratios, including Dolby Vision and HDR10 with Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. NOTE: There will not be a standard Blu-ray release of this film on home video. If you want a Blu-ray, you’ll have to buy one of the two 4K 3-disc “combo packs” which include the Blu-ray Disc counterpart. A Blu-ray housing bonus materials will also be included. A digital copy of the film is also included with both of the 4K UHD Blu-ray releases.

The 2025 live-action film adaptation of “Lilo & Stitch” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook and Blu-ray on August 26th via Disney. Dean Fleischer Camp directed the movie. It stars Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, and Chris Sanders. It also stars Courtney B. Vance, Zach Galifianakis, and Maia Kealoha. It’s worth noting that this movie is “Verified Hot” (by audiences) on Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 as well as Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K and Blu-ray will both come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray counterpart and the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart. The 1985 Western genre film “Silverado“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook for the first time on October 7th, courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Lawrence Kasdan directed and co-wrote the film with his brother Mark Kasdan. The movie starred Kevin Kline, Scott Glenn, Rosanna Arquette, John Cleese, Kevin Costner, Brian Dennehy, Danny Glover, Jeff Goldblum, and Linda Hunt.
The motion picture has been restored from the original camera negative (OCN). The 4K tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range. The audio on the 4K will be presented in Dolby Atmos, as well as with optional lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 surround sound. The 2-disc release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. A digital copy, presumably compatible with Movies Anywhere, will be included with this release.
