The 2005 film Kingdom of Heaven on 4K in May

The 2005 film “Kingdom of Heaven” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on May 27th via 20th Century Studios (Disney). Ridley Scott directed and produced the film. This movie will be presented in its Director’s Cut Roadshow (194-minute) version and the Director’s Cut (190 minutes). The film starred Orlando Bloom, Eva Green, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Michael Sheen, and Liam Neeson.

The movie, in its two Director’s Cut variations, has been restored and remastered. The tech specs include a 2160p video presentation (for both versions) in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10. It will also feature Dolby Atmos sound for both versions. The 3-disc release will come as a “combo pack.” It includes a Blu-ray Disc counterpart. There’s also an additional Blu-ray for bonus materials. Captain America: Brave New World 4K and Blu-ray

“Captain America: Brave New World” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on May 13th via Marvel Studios (Disney). Julius Onah directed the movie, which stars Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford. It co-stars Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Tim Blake Nelson, and Giancarlo Esposito.

Several other versions will be released. First off, a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook will also be available (pictured below).

A 3D pop-up Blu-ray release will be exclusive to retailer Walmart as well. It can be found pictured below, open to show its “pop-up” contents.

At this time, the 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and pop-up Blu-ray are not available for preorder. But, stay tuned for an update.

Tech specs for the 4K release(s) include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray release(s) include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound. The 4K release arrives as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. The 4K and Blu-ray releases will each include a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

It’s also worth noting that a “Captain America 4-Movie Collection” is coming to Blu-ray on May 13th. This set is pictured below. It’s not yet available for preorder either. But, again, stay tuned for an update.

Disney’s Lilo & Stitch is coming to 4K in May

The 2002 film “Lilo & Stitch” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray, for the first time, on May 6th via Disney. Dean DeBlois & Chris Sanders directed the movie. It featured the voices of Daveigh Chase, Chris Sanders, Tia Carrere, Kevin McDonald, Zoe Caldwell, and Ving Rhames. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, based on critics’ reviews.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.66:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10. It will feature Dolby Atmos sound, with a Dolby TrueHD 7.1 core. The release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. A digital copy, compatible with Movies Anywhere, will also be included.

Tombstone is coming to 4K SteelBook in April

The 1993 film “Tombstone“ officially comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on April 22nd via Hollywood Pictures (Disney). George P. Cosmatos directed the film. It starred Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, and Powers Boothe. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

The 1965 film “The Sound of Music” will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray later this year. This release will come from 20th Century Studios (Disney). The movie is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year. The details about the 4K restoration and upcoming release are listed below, taken from the press release.
