2000 film What Lies Beneath on Blu-ray in October

The 2000 film “What Lies Beneath“ is coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 5th, via Paramount Home Entertainment. This will be the very first time that the film has been available on Blu-ray in North America. The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, starred Harrison Ford, Michelle Pfeiffer, James Remar, Miranda Otto, Katharine Towne, Ray Baker, Wendy Crewson, and Diana Scarwid.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release should include all of the previous DVD extras ported over as bonus materials. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon.

Mommie Dearest starring Faye Dunaway on Blu-ray in June

The 1981 film “Mommie Dearest” starring Faye Dunaway is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 1st via Paramount Presents. This film, which will be spine number 17 in the series, was directed by Frank Perry and is based on the abusive relationship between actress Joan Crawford and her daughter Christina Crawford — who wrote the book it is based on. It co-starred Diana Scarwid, Steve Forrest, Howard Da Silva, and Rutanya Alda. The tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed but it is known that this release has received a new 4K scan and restoration. Stay tuned for an update regarding the specifics for the aspect ratio and audio format hopefully soon in an update. This Blu-ray release will come with a digital copy of the film. The 1995 film “Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain” is finally making its Blu-ray debut on March 9th, 2021, via Mill Creek Entertainment. This will be the first time this film has been available on the Blu-ray Disc format in any region, not just in North America. The film, directed by Kevin James Dobson, starred Christina Ricci, Anna Chlumsky, Polly Draper, Brian Kerwin, Diana Scarwid, David Keith, Gillian Barber, and Jewel Staite. The tech specs have not yet been detailed and no word yet if the release will include bonus materials. It is known, from the artwork pictured above, that this release will feature a retro VHS style slipcover case. You can find the Blu-ray now available to preorder over at Amazon.
