The Peanut Butter Falcon on Blu-ray November

The 2019 critically-acclaimed film “The Peanut Butter Falcon“ is coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 12th via Lionsgate. The film, written & directed by Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz, stars Shia LaBeouf, Dakota Johnson, John Hawkes,  Thomas Haden Church, Bruce Dern, Jon Bernthal, and Zack Gottsagen. As mentioned, critics really liked this film and at the time of writing it carries a “Certified Fresh” rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. UPDATE: This film on Blu-ray is now available for preorder over at Amazon.

2018 remake of “Suspiria” starring Dakota Johnson on Blu-ray in January

The 2018 version of “Suspiria“ starring Dakota Johnson is coming to Blu-ray Disc on January 29th, 2019 via Lionsgate, according to early alerts to retailers. The film is a remake of the 1977 Argento film. This remake, directed by Luca Guadagnino, co-stars Tilda Swinton, Doris Hick, Malgorzata Bela, Chloe Grace Moretz, Angela Winkler, Mia Goth, Jessica Harper, Alek Wek, Renée Soutendijk, Fabrizia Sacchi, Elena Fokina, and Olivia Ancona. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release have not yet been detailed, but stay tuned for an update. The Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon and Best Buy.

“Bad Times at the El Royale” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in January

The 2018 film “Bad Times at the El Royale” starring Jeff Bridges is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on January 1st, 2019 via Fox. The film, written & directed by Drew Goddard, co-stars Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Cailee Spaeny, Lewis Pullman, Nick Offerman, and Chris Hemsworth.

Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray release include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound. Each release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and both getting a Digital Copy of the film included.
