The 1997 film Spawn is coming to 4K in October

The 1997 film “Spawn” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in Limited Edition releases on October 7th via Arrow Video. Mark A.Z. Dippé directed and co-wrote the movie, which was based on the comic book character created by Todd McFarlane. It starred Michael Jai White, John Leguizamo, Martin Sheen, Theresa Randle, Nicol Williamson, and D.B. Sweeney.
This motion picture has received restorations of both the Director’s Cut and Theatrical Cut from the original camera negatives (OCN). The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range. It will feature both lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo sound. Each version will be presented in a 2-disc set with the Director’s Cut on the first disc and the Theatrical Cut on the second.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition and Blu-ray Limited Edition are now available for preorder at Amazon. Also, you can preorder directly the 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition and Blu-ray Limited Edition at Arrow Video’s website. Mini-series Lonesome Dove on Blu-ray Steelbook July
The 1989 TV mini-series “Lonesome Dove“ is getting a Special Edition Blu-ray Disc Steelbook release on July 9th via Mill Creek Entertainment. The mini-series featured an extraordinary cast of Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones, Danny Glover, Diane Lane, Robert Urich, Frederic Forrest, D.B. Sweeney, Ricky Schroder, Anjelica Huston, Chris Cooper, Barry Corbin, Barry Tubb, and Steve Buscemi. The tech specs for the new Blu-ray will be identical to the 2015 release, including 1080p video in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. This new Special Edition Blu-ray Steelbook is not yet available to pre-order but there is a placeholder page over at Amazon. A digital copy of the mini-series will be included with the Blu-ray.
