This movie received positive reviews from critics during its theatrical run and is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes. The film, inspired by a true story and directed by Lorene Scafaria, co-stars Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo, and Cardi B. Hustlers received quite a bit of critical-acclaim during its theatrical run, in fact it’s “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. The two releases will both come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting and Blu-ray, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and each getting a digital code (copy) of the film. Disney film Zootopia comes to 4K in November

The 2016 animated film Zootopia is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 5th via Disney, according to retailers. The Academy Award-winning film, co-directed by Byron Howard, Rich Moore, & Jared Bush, featured the voice talents of Ginnifer GoodwinJason BatemanIdris Elba, Jenny Slate, Nate Torrence, Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Tommy Chong, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Alan Tudyk, and Shakira. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc and a digital code (copy) of the film. The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder over at Amazon. It is worth noting that there will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbook exclusive release at retailer Best Buy (pictured below).

Dora and the Lost City of Gold comes to Blu-ray

The 2019 film Dora and the Lost City of Gold is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 19th via Paramount. The film, directed by James Bobin and based on the Nickelodeon animated TV series (“Dora the Explorer”), stars Isabela MonerEugenio Derbez, Eva LongoriaMichael Peña, Jeff Wahlberg, Danny Trejo, and features the voice talent of Benicio Del Toro (as “Swiper”). It’s worth noting that, at time of writing, this film is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the release have not yet been fully detailed but you can expect 1080p video likely in the 1.85:1 theatrical aspect ratio and a lossless surround mix. I’ve asked Paramount for more details and I will update this post if and when I get those. “Avengers Endgame” on 4K and Blu-ray in August

The 2019 Marvel Studios film “Avengers: Endgame” is officially coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on August 13th via Marvel (Disney). The film, directed by Anthony Russo & Joe Russo, stars Robert Downey Jr.Chris EvansMark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Brie Larson, Tom Holland, and Josh Brolin. This movie set a record during its theatrical run, which has now been extended, grossing over 2.7 billion (so far) worldwide. The film also has received much critical-acclaimed and carries a “Certified Fresh” rating (at time of writing) over at Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound. The scenes shot in IMAX will NOT be presented in their correct aspect ratio and sadly, will not expand to fill the screen. This and some other shortcomings of this release have been discussed already by our friend John Archer over at Forbes. Both releases will come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and each comes with a digital copy of the film. You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray of the film now available for pre-order over at Best Buy. Stay tuned for an update when Amazon correctly lists the title on both formats. There will also be an exclusive 4K Steelbook release (pictured below) available over at retailer Best Buy which is now available for pre-order. Another retailer exclusive will come in the form of a 4K Booklet packaging over at Target.

The 2018 Chinese film “Shadow” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on August 13th via Well Go USA, according to retailers. The film, directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Zhang Yimou (“Hero” / “House of Flying Daggers”), stars Chao DengLi SunRyan Zheng, Qianyuan Wang, Jingchun Wang, Jun Hu, and Xiaotong Guan. The film has received much critical acclaim so far. In fact, it (at time of writing) is “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound.
