The 2019 Quentin Tarantino film “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on December 10th, via Sony. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Emile Hirsch, Margaret Qualley, Timothy Olyphant, Julia Butters, Dakota Fanning, Bruce Dern, and Al Pacino. Tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. Both the standard 4K and Blu-ray versions will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting the Blu-ray counterpart, the Bu-ray getting the DVD counterpart and each getting a digital code (copy) of the film. The film is now available to preorder on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc (in standard releases) over at Amazon. There will also be a very cool retro “Collector’s Edition“ of the film released on 4K UHD Blu-ray (pictured below) which will include the physical extras like a 45rpm vinyl single of “Rick Dalton” music, a collectible MAD Magazine from 1969, and a fictional movie poster (starring “Rick Dalton”) in very beautiful packaging. This collector’s edition is now available for preorder over at Amazon.

The 2019 critically-acclaimed film “The Peanut Butter Falcon“ is coming to Blu-ray Disc on November 12th via Lionsgate. The film, written & directed by Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz, stars Shia LaBeouf, Dakota Johnson, John Hawkes, Thomas Haden Church, Bruce Dern, Jon Bernthal, and Zack Gottsagen. As mentioned, critics really liked this film and at the time of writing it carries a “Certified Fresh” rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. “The House of Hitchcock“ Collection Limited Edition Blu-ray Disc box set is coming on October 1st, via Universal, according to retailers. The box set will include a total of 15 movies directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Those films, all previously available on the Blu-ray format, included in this set are listed below (in chronological order):

The film, executive produced by Robert Redford and directed by Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre, includes a cast of Matthias Schoenaerts, Jason Mitchell, Bruce Dern, Gideon Adlon, and Connie Britton. The film (at time of writing) carries a “Certified Fresh” rating over at Rotten Tomatoes – based on critic reviews. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include 1080p HD video in the 1.66:1 aspect ratio (side matted) with DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound on a BD-50. The release will come with a digital copy of the film. You can find the Blu-ray is available for pre-order over at Amazon and Best Buy. No bonus materials are slated to be included on this release.
The 2018 film “White Boy Rick“ starring Matthew McConaughey and Richie Merritt is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on December 25th via Sony. The film, based on a true story, was directed by Yann Demange. This co-stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Brian Tyree Henry, Jonathan Majors, YG, Bruce Dern, Piper Laurie, Rory Cochrane, and RJ Cyler.
Tech specs for the release have not yet been officially announced, but I’m going to speculate on it getting 1080p in the 2.39:1 aspect (as theatrically shown) with a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix – typical on Sony Blu-ray releases. I’ve reached out directed to Sony about this and should have a reply hopefully sometime soon. The Blu-ray is now available to pre-order over at Amazon and at Best Buy. The release will come with a Digital Copy of the film. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.

The 1968 Western “Hang ‘Em High“ starring Clint Eastwood is getting a “50th Anniversary Edition” release on Blu-ray Disc come December 11th via Shout! Factory on their “Shout Select” label. The film, directed by Ted Post, co-starred Inger Stevens, Ed Begley, Pat Hingle, Bruce Dern, Dennis Hopper, and L.Q. Jones. Tech specs and bonus materials have not yet been detailed but they have teased they will be announcing them later. UPDATE: This is now available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon.
It is also available for pre-order directly over at Shout! Factory – where you’ll get it 2 weeks early if you order. Stay tuned for further updates regarding this highly anticipated upcoming release. Let’s hope they give it a new transfer or perhaps restoration.

For those who don’t know, the film is based on the true events (scandal) that occurred in 1969 with late the Ted Kennedy (who would later become a U.S. Senator). Tech specs for the release include full 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The title on Blu-ray Disc is currently available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon. The release comes in the form of a “combo pack” with Blu-ray Disc, DVD, and a Digital Copy of the film included. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below:
