Blumhouse’s “The Hunt” comes to Blu-ray June

The 2020 film The Hunt is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 9th via Universal. The film, produced by Jason Blum & directed by Craig Zobel, stars Betty GilpinHilary SwankIke Barinholtz, Wayne Duvall, Ethan Suplee, Glenn Howerton, Kate Nowlin, Betty Gilpin, and Justin Hartley. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 and DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 sound on a BD-50 (50-gigabyte dual-layered disc). The 2020 version of “The Invisible Man” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on May 26th, via Universal, according to retailers. The film, directed by Leigh Whannell & produced by Jason Blum‘s Blumhouse, stars Elisabeth MossOliver Jackson-CohenHarriet Dyer, Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid, and Michael Dorman. The film received a very good response from both film critics and moviegoers, in fact, it carries a “Certified Fresh” rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. Tech specs for the 4K release include video presented in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ forms of High Dynamic Range and Dolby Atmos sound on a BD-100 (100 gigabytes) disc. The technical specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Jordan Peele film Us comes to 4K and Blu-ray in June

The 2019 Jordan Peele film “Us” is officially coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on June 18th via Universal. The film, “Certified Fresh” over at Rotten Tomatoes, stars Lupita Nyong’oWinston Duke, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Tim Heidecker, and Elisabeth Moss.

The tech specs for the 4K release include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio in both HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range with Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound. The releases will both come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting a Blu-ray Disc and the Blu-ray getting a DVD included in addition to a digital copy of the film. RUMOR: “Happy Death Day 2U” starring Jessica Rothe comes to Blu-ray in May

The 2019 sequel Happy Death Day 2U is rumored to be coming to Blu-ray Disc on May 14th via Universal, according to early alerts to retailers. I am only saying this is a rumor as the studio has not yet officially announced this title. The film, produced by Blumhouse & directed by Christopher Landon, includes a cast of  Jessica RotheIsrael BroussardPhi Vu, Suraj Sharma, Sarah Yarkin, Rachel Matthews, and Ruby Modine. It is known that it will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a DVD and digital copy of the film included. The Blu-ray is already available to pre-order over at Amazon and it even has a placeholder over at Best Buy (with the release date listed).

UPDATE: This release has been confirmed to be coming out on the date I originally specified. Production company Blumhouse has now posted a promotional ad on Twitter for the home video release which you can find HERE. M. Night Shyamalan film “Glass” arrives on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in April

The 2019 M. Night Shyamalan written & directed film “Glass” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on April 16th via Universal, according to an early alert to retailers. The film just released last week theatrically is a sequel to the films “Unbreakable” (2000) and “Split” (2016). Glass features a cast of James McAvoyBruce WillisSamuel L. Jackson, and Sarah Paulson.
