The Home [2025] on 4K and Blu-ray in September

The 2025 horror film “The Home” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray Digipak and Blu-ray on September 23rd via Lionsgate. The 4K UHD Blu-ray Digipak release will be Lionsgate Limited exclusive. The Blu-ray is set to be released by Lionsgate Home Entertainment and will be available at most retailers. James DeMonaco directed and co-wrote the film. It stars Pete Davidson, John Glover, Ethan Phillips, and Bruce Altman.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray Digipak include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. Both releases will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray Disc counterpart, while the Blu-ray release will get its DVD counterpart. Both physical media releases on 4K UHD and Blu-ray will include a digital copy of the film.

Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires on 4K and Blu-ray

The 2025 DC animated movie “Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires” will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on September 23rd, distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. Juan Jose Meza-Leon directed and co-wrote the film. Its English voice cast includes Jay Hernandez and Raymond Cruz. The Spanish voice cast includes Horacio García Rojas, Omar Chaparro, and Álvaro Morte.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound, on a BD-66 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD MA 5.1 sound. Both releases will feature a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere.

UPDATED: Both the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are now available for preorder at Amazon. The 4K UHD Blu-ray is available for preorder at online retailer MovieZyng. The Blu-ray is available at online retailer GRUV (or via Walmart). The bonus materials set to be included with the releases are listed below.

The 2024 film “Speak No Evil“ is set to arrive on 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 16th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. James Watkins directed and co-wrote the movie. It starred James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, Scoot McNairy, Aisling Franciosi, and Alix West Lefler. It’s worth noting this movie is “Certified Fresh” based on reviews by critics at Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, accompanied by Dolby Vision and HDR10 with Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. 2025 Lilo & Stitch on 4K on Blu-ray in August

The 2025 live-action film adaptation of “Lilo & Stitch” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook and Blu-ray on August 26th via Disney.  Dean Fleischer Camp directed the movie. It stars Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, and Chris Sanders. It also stars Courtney B. Vance, Zach Galifianakis, and Maia Kealoha. It’s worth noting that this movie is “Verified Hot” (by audiences) on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 as well as Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K and Blu-ray will both come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray counterpart and the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart. Both releases will include a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

Coal Miner’s Daughter comes to 4K in September

The 1980 film “Coal Miner’s Daughter” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 9th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Michael Apted directed the movie, which won an Academy Award for “Best Actress in a Leading Role.” It starred Sissy Spacek, Tommy Lee Jones, Levon Helm, Beverly D’Angelo, and William Sanderson.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. The 2-disc release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included, along with a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere.

You cannot yet find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon or Walmart, but stay tuned for an update. The 2021 film Nobody on 4K SteelBook in July

The 2021 film “Nobody” gets a limited-edition 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on July 29th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Ilya Naishuller directed the film. It starred Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, Michael Ironside, RZA, and Christopher Lloyd.

EDITORIAL NOTE: This movie was released on the format back in 2021 in a standard 4K UHD Blu-ray. However, this is the first time that it has received a 4K SteelBook in North America.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 form of HDR and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. This 2-disc release does come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

The 1974 film Earthquake comes to 4K in July

The 1974 film “Earthquake” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on July 8th. These releases will arrive via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Mark Robson directed the film. It starred Charlton Heston, Ava Gardner, George Kennedy, Lorne Greene, Genevieve Bujold, and Richard Roundtree.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range, on a BD-66 disc. Dolby Atmos and DTS 2.1 “Sensurround” sound mixes will both be included.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) are now available for preorder at Amazon. No bonus materials will be included on these releases.
