The 1995 comedy “Billy Madison“ starring Adam Sandler comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 29th via KL Studio Classics. Tamra Davis directed the film, which Adam Sandler co-wrote and produced. The movie co-starred Darren McGavin, Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, Bradley Whitford, Chris Farley, Norm MacDonald, Josh Mostel, Steve Buscemi, and Robert Smigel.
The movie has received a new master from a new 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 form of high dynamic range. Audio will be presented in lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo configurations. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 sound.

The 1978 film Convoy will arrive on 4K in July

The 1978 film “Convoy” will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 22nd via KL Studio Classics. Sam Peckinpah directed the movie. It starred Kris Kristofferson, Ali MacGraw, Ernest Borgnine, Burt Young, and Seymour Cassel.
The movie has received a new master by StudioCanal, from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range, on a BD-100 disc. Audio on the 4K disc will be presented in lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Mono. This will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

Jaws gets 50th Anniversary 4K releases in June

The 1975 film “Jaws” will get a “50th Anniversary Edition” 4K UHD Blu-ray release. Also, a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook will be released on June 17th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, a winner of a total of three Academy Awards (“Oscars”), starred Roy Scheider. It also starred Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Lorraine Gary, and Murray Hamilton.
This 4K release will include the previous audio and video presentation found on the 4K UHD Blu-ray released in 2020. The tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+ forms of high dynamic range, on a BD-100 disc. It will also feature Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases come as a “combo pack.” They include their Blu-ray Disc counterpart. There is also a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere included with each.

The cast also included Christopher Walken, Tia Carrere, and Chris Farley. It also featured Kim Basinger, Aerosmith, and Drew Barrymore. Furthermore, Charlton Heston, James Hong, and Heather Locklear appeared in the film.

The 1963 film “Donovan’s Reef” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on April 15th via KL Studio Classics. The film was directed by John Ford. It starred John Wayne, Lee Marvin, and Jack Warden. The film also featured Cesar Romero, Dorothy Lamour, and Elizabeth Allen. Additionally, Dick Foran, Marcel Dalio, Mike Mazurki, and Edgar Buchanan were part of the cast.
