Borderlands comes to 4K and Blu-ray in October

According to retailers, the 2024 film “Borderlands” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 22nd via Lionsgate. The film, based on the 2K video game of the same title, directed and co-written by Eli Roth, stars Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. All of the releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the 4K getting its Blu-ray Disc counterpart, the Blu-ray getting its DVD counterpart, and each including a digital copy. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are available for preorder at Amazon. There will also be 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBooks available (pictured below) exclusively at Amazon and retailer Walmart. Love and Monsters comes to 4K and Blu-ray in January

The 2020 film “Love and Monsters” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on January 5th, 2021 via Paramount. This news comes both according to a trade ad (pictured HERE) via Media Play News as well as a confirmation direct from a contact at the studio (Paramount). The title hasn’t been officially fully announced, but we have some basic ideas of the details so far. More on that in a short bit. It’s first worth mentioning that this film was directed by Michael Matthews. The cast includes Dylan O’BrienJessica HenwickMichael Rooker, and Ariana Greenblatt.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that it will also include its Blu-ray Disc counterpart as well as a digital code (copy) of the film. Meanwhile, the Blu-ray Disc release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. Tech specs for both versions have not yet been specified, but stay tuned for an update.
