A Quiet Place Day One on 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2024 film “A Quiet Place: Day One” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray Disc on October 8th via Paramount Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Michael Sarnoski, starred Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured above & below) will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. The 4K and Blu-ray physical releases will all include a digital copy.

M. Night Shyamalan’s Old on 4K and Blu-ray October

The 2021 film “Old” is officially coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on October 19th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, written & directed by M. Night Shyamalan, stars Gael García Bernal, Vicky Krieps, Rufus Sewell, Alex Wolff, Thomasin McKenzie, Abbey Lee, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Ken Leung, Eliza Scanlen, Aaron Pierre, Embeth Davidtz, and Emun Elliott.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that the 4K will include its Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray version will include its DVD counterpart, and each will get a digital code (copy) of the film — compatible with Movies Anywhere. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon. There will also be a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) available as an exclusive over at retailer Best Buy. It’s now available for preorder.

“The House of Tomorrow” starring Asa Butterfield is coming to Blu-ray in August

The 2017 Peter Livolsi directed film “The House of Tomorrow” starring Asa ButterfieldAlex Wolff, and Nick Offerman is coming to Blu-ray Disc on August 14th via Shout! Factory. The film is based on the novel written by Peter Bognanni. Tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed, but I’ve reach out to Shout! Factory, so stay tuned for an update – hopefully. This title is already available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.
