Weapons is coming to 4K and Blu-ray in October

The 2025 film “Weapons” is set to be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray later this year via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. Zach Cregger wrote and directed the film. It stars Julia Garner, Josh Brolin, Benedict Wong, Austin Abrams, Toby Huss, Alden Ehrenreich, and Amy Madigan. It is certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” by critics and “Verified Hot” by audiences at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, accompanied by Dolby Vision and HDR10 (forms of high dynamic range), and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Both the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases will feature a digital copy of the movie, compatible with Movies Anywhere.
Also, a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook will be available at all retailers. However, at this time, preorders have already sold out. Stay tuned for an update on that. Below you can find a glimpse of the artwork for the 4K SteelBook.

“Solo: A Star Wars Story” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in September
Ron Howard directed film “Solo: A Star Wars Story” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on September 25th via LucasFilms (Disney). Tech specs for the 4K include full 2160p 4K video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 sound. HDR10 High Dynamic Range seems to be the only variety included. There is no mention of Dolby Vision here in the press release. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include full 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 7.1 MA sound. Both releases will come in the form of a “combo pack” with discs of other format included (Blu-ray on the 4K, and DVD on the Blu-ray) with both getting a Digital Copy of the film.
UPDATE: The title is available for PRE-ORDER available over at Best Buy on both 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc. There’s also a Steelbook 4K UHD Blu-ray going to be available, as I’ve discussed.

2017 Alexandre Moors film “The Yellow Birds” is coming to Blu-ray in August

The 2017 Alexandre Moors directed war drama “The Yellow Birds” starring Tye Sheridan and Alden Ehrenreich is coming to Blu-ray Disc on August 14th via Lionsgate. Tech specs for the release include full 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The release will come with a Digital Copy of the film included. The Blu-ray is now available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon. The only bonus material set to be included is listed below.
