The 1997 film “Mimic” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on January 13th, 2026, via KL Studio Classics [Kino Lorber]. Guillermo del Toro co-wrote and directed the motion picture. It starred Mira Sorvino, Jeremy Northam, Josh Brolin, Giancarlo Giannini, F. Murray Abraham, and Charles S. Dutton.
The release will include both the theatrical and director’s cuts of the movie, each in 4K on its own individual 4K disc. Both have received a 4K restoration, approved by Guillermo del Toro. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray [Discs] include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible), each on a BD-100 disc. The audio configuration(s) include lossless DTS-HD Master Audio in 5.1 surround and 2.0 stereo. The 3-disc set will come as a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc counterpart [featuring both cuts] included.
You cannot yet find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon or Walmart, but stay tuned for an update on that. You can preorder directly via Kino Lorber’s website. The bonus materials included with the release are detailed below, sorted by disc.

The 1972 film “The Mechanic” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on January 13th, 2026, via KL Studio Classics [Kino Lorber]. Michael Winner directed the movie, which starred Charles Bronson. It co-starred Jan-Michael Vincent, Keenan Wynn, Jill Ireland, Frank DeKova, Linda Ridgeway, Celeste Yarnal, and Enzo Fiermonte.
The movie has received a new 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. Technical specifications for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible), on a BD-100 disc. The audio presentation has not yet been detailed, but should come in a lossless format, such as DTS-HD Master Audio. The 2-disc release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart.

Good Fortune comes to 4K and Blu-ray in December

The 2025 film “Good Fortune” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook and Blu-ray on December 9th via Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Aziz Ansari wrote, directed, and stars in the movie. It co-stars Seth Rogen, Keanu Reeves, Keke Palmer, and Sandra Oh. It’s worth noting this motion picture is “Certified Fresh” based on critics’ reviews at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in 1.85:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. The 4K SteelBook will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart. Both the 4K SteelBook and Blu-ray will feature a digital copy of the movie.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured below) will be an Amazon Exclusive. It is now available to preorder from there. The Blu-ray is available to preorder at Amazon and Walmart.

The 2025 film “One Battle After Another” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on January 20th, 2026, via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.
Paul Thomas Anderson directed and co-wrote the film. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Teyana Taylor, Regina Hall, and Chase Infiniti. It’s certainly worth noting that this movie is “Certified Fresh” (by critics) and “Verified Hot” (by audiences) at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases will include a digital code (copy) compatible with Movies Anywhere.
