Commissions EarnedThe 2006 film “The Departed” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and in a limited edition SteelBook on April 23rd via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Martin Scorsese, starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Ray Winstone, and Vera Farmiga.
“The 4K remaster of The Departed was completed at Warner Bros. Discovery’s Motion Picture Imaging (MPI) with the participation of the film’s Academy Award-winning editor Thelma Schoonmaker (Raging Bull, The Aviator).”
Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio in HDR10 form of high dynamic range with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release will include a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available for preorder at retailers like Amazon and Walmart. The bonus materials set to be included with the release, ported from the previous release on Blu-ray, are listed below.

Commissions EarnedThe 1990 film “Cry-Baby” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Special Edition on April 30th via KL Studio Classics (Kino Lorber). The film, written and directed by John Waters, starred Johnny Depp, Amy Locane, Traci Lords, Iggy Pop, Ricki Lake, Susan Tyrrell, Kim McGuire, Willem Dafoe, and Patricia Hearst.
This has received a brand new master (of the Theatrical Cut), taken from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. Fret not, the Director’s Cut will be included in HD on the second disc and has been sourced from the same 4K scan and a 4K scan of the interpositive of the Director’s Cut (specifically). Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and lossless audio, on a BD-100 disc. And, tech specs for the Blu-ray (Special Edition) include a 1080p HD video presentation (from that same new master) in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with lossless audio, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc. The Blu-ray release will include both cuts of the film on one disc.

Animation, directed by Jeff Wamester & written by James Krieg, features a voice cast that includes Jensen Ackles (as “Batman”), Stana Katic (as “Wonder Woman” & “Superwoman”), Jimmi Simpson (as “Green Arrow”), Gideon Adlon (as “Batgirl”), Lou Diamond Phillips (as “Spectre”), Troy Baker (as “Joker”), Jennifer Hale (as “Alura” & “Hippolyta”), Aldis Hodge (as “John Stewart”), Will Friedle (as “Batman Beyond”), Meg Donnelly (as “Supergirl”), Matt Lanter (as “Blue Beetle”), Liam McIntyre (as “Aquaman”), and Darren Cross (as “Superman”).

The show, created for television by Chad Feehan, stars David Oyelowo, Lauren E. Banks, Demi Singleton, Forrest Goodluck, Dennis Quaid, Barry Pepper, Grantham Coleman, and Donald Sutherland.
The tech specs for the release have yet to be detailed but should include a 1080p HD video presentation and a lossless sound mix (likely in a 5.1 surround configuration), spanning across a 3-disc set. The Blu-ray is now available for preorder over at Amazon and Walmart. The bonus materials set to be included with the release are listed below.
