The 2024 film “Imaginary” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on October 1st via Lionsgate. The film, directed & co-written by Jeff Wadlow, stars DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, and Veronica Falcón. This 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook will be exclusive to Amazon.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz” will be getting a 4K UHD Blu-ray “85th Anniversary SteelBook Giftset on November 5th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Victor Fleming and King Vidor, starred Judy Garland, Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger, Bert Lahr, Jack Haley, Billie Burke, Charley Grapewin, Clara Blandick, and Margaret Hamilton.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.37:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HDR10+ forms of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart with a digital copy included. The 2002 film “We Were Soldiers” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on November 5th via Paramount Home Media Distribution. The film, directed by Randall Wallace, starred Mel Gibson, Madeline Stowe, Greg Kinnear, Sam Elliott, Chris Klein, Keri Russell, Barry Pepper, Jon Hamm, and Clark Gregg.

This is the first time the film has been available on the 4K UHD Blu-ray format. The tech specs for the 4K release and bonus materials have not yet been detailed but stay tuned for an update. It is known that this release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included along with a digital copy. The 2010 film Devil is coming to 4K in early October

The 2010 film “Devil” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 8th via Scream Factory. The film, directed by John Erick Dowdle, co-written and produced by M. The movie has received a 4K restoration from the interpositive negative. Tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound. The release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included, using the 4K restoration. Veep The Complete Series on Blu-ray in late October

“Veep: The Complete Series” is coming to Blu-ray Disc on October 22nd via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment, according to retail sources. The show ran for 7 seasons and it starred Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Anna Chlumsky, Tony Hale, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Matt Walsh, Gary Cole, and Kevin Dunn. Tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. The Blu-ray set is available for preorder at Amazon and Walmart, as well as the online retailer GRUV. The set will include hours of bonus materials from the seasons previously released on Blu-ray.

A Nightmare on Elm Street is coming to 4K in October

The modern classic 1984 horror film “A Nightmare on Elm Street” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on October 15th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The film, written & directed by Wes Craven, starred Robert Englund, John Saxon, Johnny Depp, Heather Langenkamp, Ronee Blakley, Amanda Wyss, Jsu Garcia, Charles Fleischer, Joseph Whipp, Joe Unger, and Lin Shaye.

The movie is celebrating its 40th anniversary in a big way with a standard 4K UHD Blu-ray (pictured above on the left), a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured above in the middle), and in the United Kingdom there will also be a 4K UHD Blu-ray “40th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition” set (pictured above on the right).

It is known that the film has received a new 4K restoration and will include both the theatrical and uncut versions of the film in 4K. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. The artwork tells us the SteelBook release will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital copy included. The standard 4K release will have a digital copy.
