The 1994 film “Legends of the Fall” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 3rd via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Edward Zwick, starred Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, Aidan Quinn, Julia Ormond, and Henry Thomas. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and it won an Academy Award for “Best Cinematography” (John Toll).

This has been “scanned from the original camera negative.” The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 form of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. Winchester ’73 gets Criterion 4K and Blu-ray in January

The 1950 film “Winchester ’73” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on January 28th via The Criterion Collection. The film, directed by Anthony Mann, starred James Stewart, Shelley Winters, Dan Duryea, Rock Hudson, Stephen McNally, Millard Mitchell, Charles Drake, John McIntire, and Will Geer.

The movie has received a new 4K digital restoration, “undertaken by Universal Pictures in collaboration with The Film Foundation.” The tech specs for the 4K release include a Black & White 2160p video presentation in the 1.35:1 aspect ratio with SDR (standard dynamic range) and uncompressed Mono sound. NOTE: This 4K release will NOT include HDR (high dynamic range). Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD Black & White video presentation in the 1.35:1 aspect ratio and uncompressed Mono sound. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included.

The 1998 film “Snake Eyes” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Special Edition Blu-ray Disc on December 17th via KL Studio Classics. The movie has received a new master from a 16-bit 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The 4K tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround, and 2.0 stereo lossless sound, on a BD-100 disc. The release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. The Wild Robot on 4K and Blu-ray in December

The 2024 DreamWorks Animation film “The Wild Robot” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on December 3rd via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film is based on the book (of the same title) written by Peter Brown. Chris Sanders directed and wrote the movie adaptation. The voice cast features the talent of Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Matt Berry, Ving Rhames, Mark Hamill, and Catherine O’Hara. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” (by critics) and “Verified Hot” (by audiences) on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc.
