The 1996 film Black Sheep is coming to 4K in March

The 1996 comedy Black Sheep” will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on March 25th via KL Studio Classics. Penelope Spheeris directed the film, which was written by Fred Wolf. It starred Chris Farley, David Spade, Tim Matheson, Christine Ebersole, Gary Busey, Grant Heslov, Timothy Carhart, and Bruce McGill.

The movie has received a new master from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround, and 2.0 Stereo lossless sound on a BD-100 disc. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.

The 1991 film Body Parts comes to 4K in February

The 1991 horror film “Body Parts” will be released on 4K UHD Blu-ray on February 25th via KL Studio Classics. Eric Red directed the film, which starred Jeff FaheyKim DelaneyLindsay DuncanZakes MokaeBrad DourifJohn Walsh, and Paul Ben-Victor.

The 2024 film Heretic on 4K and Blu-ray in January

The 2024 film Heretic will be released on Blu-ray Disc on January 21st via A24Scott Beck and Bryan Woods co-directed and co-wrote it. The movie stars Hugh GrantSophie ThatcherChloe Eastand Topher Grace. It’s certainly worth noting that, based on critic reviews, this film is “Certified Freshat Rotten Tomatoes.

The Blu-ray’s tech specs include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound. You can find the standard Blu-ray now available for preorder at Amazon. The bonus materials include the following.

Truth Be Told Series on Blu-ray in February

The AppleTV+ original “Truth Be Told: The Complete Series” will be released on Blu-ray Disc on February 25th. The distributor is Fifth Season. The show, which ran for three seasons (2019-2023) won several awards and got critical acclaim during its run. It starred Octavia Spencer in the lead role. The cast also included Mekhi Phifer, Ron Cephas Jones, Tracie Thoms, Haneefah Wood, and David Lyons in supporting roles. Each season had a special guest star. Aaron Paul appeared in season 1. Kate Hudson was featured in season 2. Gabrielle Union co-starred in season 3. This release is locked to Region A.

The tech specs for the Blu-ray release include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.10:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound, spanning across an 8-disc set. It seems that no bonus materials will be included with this release. The Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon.
