Read moreThe 1985 film “Brazil” arrives on 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 3rd via The Criterion Collection. Terry Gilliam directed and co-wrote the film. The movie starred Jonathan Pryce, Robert De Niro, Ian Holm, Bob Hoskins, Michael Palin, Katherine Helmond, and Kim Greist. It’s certainly worth noting that this film has been deemed “Certified Fresh” (based on critics) at Rotten Tomatoes.
This has received a 4K digital restoration of the (143-minute) “director’s cut,” supervised and approved by director Terry Gilliam. Its 4K tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) and a lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 surround audio mix. This 3-disc set will come as a “combo pack“. It will come with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart (as well as) another Blu-ray included, with extras.
The 4K UHD Blu-ray is now available for preorder at Amazon. Additionally, there is the choice to preorder directly via Criterion’s website. The bonus materials included are detailed below.
The 1993 film “Tombstone“ officially comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on April 22nd via Hollywood Pictures (Disney). George P. Cosmatos directed the film. It starred Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, and Powers Boothe. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

BURBANK, CA (March 20, 2025) – Justice is coming when the legendary epic action-adventure, Tombstone, rides again on April 22 on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc. The film has been meticulously remastered and restored, allowing audiences to experience every gun battle with stunning visuals and immersive sound. Tombstone will also be available on digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home.
Originally released in 1993, this is the first 4K rodeo for Tombstone, triggering viewers to witness all the dustups and defilement of the Wild West in crisp visual detail unlike ever before. Without having to skin a smoke wagon, Tombstone’s audience will get a peek behind the saloon doors to see how Director George P. Cosmatos and his gang of filmmakers brought the historic O.K. Corral into theatrical reality, including the storyboard process and realistic Old West gunslinging.
The upcoming 4K release of Tombstone is the high-res huckleberry fans have awaited for decades….you’re a daisy if you don’t add it to your personal cinema archives. Along with previously released bonus extras, the 4K disc will draw an eye-popping collectible limited edition SteelBook® with custom artwork and packaging.
The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (or HDR10) form of high dynamic range. The 4K release will also feature DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound, on a BD-66 disc. This will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. A digital copy of the film in 4K will also be provided.

Two films directed by Steven Soderbergh are coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on April 15th (individually). The films are “The Good German“ (2006) and “The Informant!“ (2008). Both will be released via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. It’s certainly worth noting that “The Informant!” is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, based on critics. Each film’s cast is listed below.

“The Informant!” cast: Matt Damon, Melanie Lynskey, Joel McHale, Scott Bakula, Tony Hale
The tech specs for the 4K releases are as follows. “The Good German” will be presented in a 1.33:1 aspect ratio in 2160p with Dolby Vision or HDR10 and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound. “The Informant!” will be presented in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10 and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround. The 4K release of “The Good German” will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. It’s worth noting that a Blu-ray version of the film will also be available on the same date (4/15).

The 2024 animated TV series “Rick and Morty: The Anime“ comes to Blu-ray Disc on April 29th via [adult swim]. This will be distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The show ran for one season, with a total of 10 episodes. The series was directed by Takashi Sano. The voice cast for this Japanese anime is listed below.

The TV series “Outlander: The Complete Seventh Season” is coming to Blu-ray Disc. It will also be released in a “Collector’s Edition” Blu-ray on May 27th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The show’s cast includes Caitríona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, and John Bell.
The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound, spanning across a 6-disc set. The approximate runtime for this season is 934 minutes.
