The 1986 film “Cobra” will be released via Arrow Video on 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition on July 22nd. George P. Cosmatos directed the film, which Sylvester Stallone co-wrote. The movie starred Sylvester Stallone, Brigitte Nielsen, Reni Santoni, Andrew Robinson, Brian Thompson, John Herzfeld, and Lee Garlington.

The movie has received a new 4K restoration from the original 35mm negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10. It includes lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 stereo, 4.0 surround, and 5.1 surround sound options.

The 1985 horror/comedy film “The Stuff” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition on July 22nd via Arrow Video. Larry Cohen wrote and directed the movie. It starred Michael Moriarty, Andrea Marcovicci, Garrett Morris, Scott Bloom, Danny Aiello, and Patrick O’Neal.

The movie has received a new 4K restoration from the original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10. It will feature lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 1.0 Mono sound. This release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. The Blu-ray will feature a “pre-release” cut of the film, presented in 1080p HD, exclusively remastered by Arrow Films.

The 2000 comedy Road Trip comes to 4K in June

The 2000 comedy “Road Trip” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on June 24th via KL Studio Classics. Todd Phillips directed and co-wrote this movie. It starred Breckin MeyerSeann William ScottAmy SmartTom GreenFred Ward, and DJ Qualls. It also co-starred Rachel BlanchardPaulo CostanzoAnthony RappAndy DickHoratio Sanz, and Ethan Suplee.

The theatrical cut (93 minutes) has received a new master. Paramount Pictures created this new master from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision or HDR10. It will feature lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Stereo sound, on a BD-100 disc. The 2-disc release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. The Blu-ray will include the theatrical cut and the UNRATED cut (94 minutes). That unrated cut comes from an HD master.

The 1968 musical Oliver! is coming to 4K in May

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release the 1968 musical “Oliver!” on 4K UHD Blu-ray on May 20th. Carol Reed directed the movie. It starred Ron Moody, Oliver Reed, Harry Secombe, Shani Wallis, and Mark Lester. This film won 6 Academy Awards (“Oscars”). Still to this day, the movie is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

NOTE: This film was formerly included on a 4K UHD Blu-ray exclusively in a box set. It was part of the “Columbia Classics: 4K Ultra HD Collection – Volume 2” box set released in 2021. This will be the first time the film has been released individually in 4K on physical media.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio with HDR10. There will be Dolby Atmos, lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround, and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 (2-channel surround) sound on a BD-100 disc.

Fallout: Season One on 4K and Blu-ray in July

UPDATED: The Amazon Prime original series “Fallout: Season One” will be released on July 8th. It will be available on 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (exclusive at Amazon), and Blu-ray Disc. Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment will distribute it. The show is based on the popular video game franchise (of the same title). Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner created the show. In its first season, the show co-stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, and Walton Goggins. The further cast includes Moisés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, and Michael Emerson. It also features Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, and Dave Register. Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones are also part of the cast.

The 2025 film “A Working Man” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on June 10th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. David Ayer directed the film, which Sylvester Stallone co-wrote and produced. The movie starred Jason Statham,  Jason Flemyng, David Harbour, Maximillian Osinski, Merab Ninidze, and Michael Peña. It’s certainly worth noting that audiences have made this “Verified Hot” on Rotten Tomatoes, despite critics not being as kind.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Atmos sound.
