Read moreThe 1985 Western genre film “Silverado“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook for the first time on October 7th, courtesy of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Lawrence Kasdan directed and co-wrote the film with his brother Mark Kasdan. The movie starred Kevin Kline, Scott Glenn, Rosanna Arquette, John Cleese, Kevin Costner, Brian Dennehy, Danny Glover, Jeff Goldblum, and Linda Hunt.
The motion picture has been restored from the original camera negative (OCN). The 4K tech specs include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range. The audio on the 4K will be presented in Dolby Atmos, as well as with optional lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 2.0 surround sound. The 2-disc release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. A digital copy, presumably compatible with Movies Anywhere, will be included with this release.

Peter Weir directed and co-wrote the movie. It starred Russell Crowe, Paul Bettany, James D’Arcy, Chris Larkin, and Billy Boyd. It’s certainly worth noting that, even to this day, this movie is “Certified Fresh” by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
The movie has been restored and remastered from the original elements. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range. It will also include Dolby Atmos sounds. The 2-disc release will be a “combo pack” also featuring its Blu-ray Disc counterpart. The release will also include a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The 1980 film “Coal Miner’s Daughter” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 9th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Michael Apted directed the movie, which won an Academy Award for “Best Actress in a Leading Role.” It starred Sissy Spacek, Tommy Lee Jones, Levon Helm, Beverly D’Angelo, and William Sanderson.
The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 and Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-66 disc. The 2-disc release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included, along with a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere.

Gavin O’Connor directed the movie. It stars Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, and J.K. Simmons. It’s certainly worth noting that the movie is “Certified Fresh” (by critics) and “Verified Hot” (by audiences) at Rotten Tomatoes.

Ken Finkleman directed and co-wrote the film. It starred Robert Hays, Julie Hagerty, Lloyd Bridges, William Shatner, Peter Graves, Raymond Burr, and Chuck Connors. The cast also included Rip Torn, John Dehner, Chad Everett, Kent McCord, John Vernon, and Sonny Bono.
The movie has received a new master from a 4K scan of the 35mm original camera negative.
