Read moreThe 2025 DreamWorks Animation sequel “The Bad Guys 2” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 7th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The movie was co-directed by Pierre Perifel and JP Sans. This features the voice talents of Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, and Awkwafina. Its voice cast co-stars Zazie Beetz, Lily Singh, Alex Borstein, and Richard Ayoade. It’s worth mentioning that this film is “Certified Fresh” (based on critics) and “Verified Hot” (based on audience ratings) at Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10, accompanied by Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. Both the 4K UHD and Blu-ray physical media releases will also feature a digital copy of the film compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The films “Saw II“ (2005), “Saw III“ (2006), and “Saw IV“ (2007) are getting 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook releases on October 28th via Lionsgate. These will be exclusive to Amazon. Darren Lynn Bousman directed all three of these movies in the “Saw” franchise.
The tech specs for the release include 2160p video presentations in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio, featuring Dolby Vision (or HDR10) high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. NOTE: These are all the theatrical versions of the film, and not the UNRATED cuts or Director’s Cut. This has already upset some fans of the franchise, and I’m unsure what the strategy behind this move was. Each release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital copy of the film included.

Read more“Alfred Hitchcock: The Ultimate Collection” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 14th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. This “ultimate collection” consists of a total of 15 films, listed below.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray set include a 2160p video presentation for each film, available in various aspect ratios and sound formats. These all will feature the HDR10 form of high dynamic range. “North by Northwest” will be the only one to feature Dolby Atmos sound. Meanwhile, the other films will be presented in a variety of DTS:X and DTS-HD Master Audio lossless Mono sound mixes. The tech specs for the Blu-ray will reflect this same variety of aspect ratios and sound formats, but will be presented in 1080p HD. The sound formats will likely be in lossless 5.1 surround sound for “North by Northwest.” The other films in the set, on Blu-ray, will feature an assortment of DTS:X and DTS-HD Master Audio Mono sound.
NOTE: All fifteen of these movies have previously been released in sets and/or individually over the years on the 4K UHD Blu-ray format. This will, however, mark the first time they have all been included together in one set.
UPDATED: The Blu-ray version of the set is now available for preorder on Amazon, but the 4K is not yet. Stay tuned for an update on that. A 64-page collectible booklet, featuring storyboards, film trivia, photographs, letters, and much more, will be physically included with both versions of the set. It starred Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Richard O’Brien, Patricia Quinn, Nell Campbell, Peter Hinwood, and Meat Loaf.
The movie has received a 4K restoration. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.66:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10, as well as Dolby Atmos and restored DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Mono sound. The 2-disc release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included, along with a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere.

An Arrow Video exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition set is also available directly through Arrow Video’s website. Also, an exclusive Blu-ray Limited Edition set is available directly via Arrow Video. The three films included in this trilogy are listed below.
Steve Barron directed the first film, Michael Pressman directed the second film, and Stuart Gillard directed the third film. They starred Judith Hoag (“April O’Neil” #1), Paige Turco (“April O’Neil” #2), Elias Koteas (“Casey Jones”), James Saito (“Shredder” #1), François Chau (“Shredder” #2), Kevin Nash (“Super Shredder”), David Warner, and Ernie Reyes Jr., Sab Shimono, Stuart Wilson, and Vivian Wu. They also featured the voices of Kevin Clash (“Splinter” #1), James Murray (“Splinter” #2), and Corey Feldman (“Donatello” #1).

The 2016 film “Shin Godzilla” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray, reportedly in October via GKIDS (distributed by Shout! Studios). Shinji Higuchi and Hideaki Anno co-directed the film. The movie has received a new 4K remaster.
The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range. It will also include the original Japanese language in lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 3.1 (with English subtitles) as well as the English dub, also in DTS-HD MA 3.1 sound. The 4K will be presented on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio and both Japanese and English DTS-HD MA 3.1 sound, with English subtitles, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K UHD Blu-ray will come as a 3-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included, as well as a second Blu-ray for bonus materials. The Blu-ray will come as a 2-disc set with a second Blu-ray for extras.
