Amazon Commissions EarnedThe 2021 film “Boogie” is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on June 1st via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film, written & directed by Eddie Huang, stars Taylor Takahashi, Taylour Paige, Pamelyn Chee, Perry Yung, Domenick Lombardozzi, and the late Bashar “Pop Smoke” Jackson. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound on a BD-25 disc. The release will come with a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target. The bonus materials set to be included with the release are listed below.

According to StarTrek.com, The Paramount+ original TV series “Star Trek: Discovery (Season Three)” is officially coming to the Blu-ray Disc format on July 20th via CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment. There will be both a standard Blu-ray and a Blu-ray SteelBook release of the third season (pictured above). You can find both versions on Blu-ray now available for preorder over at Amazon. The tech specs for the release include a 1080p HD presentation in the 2.00:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. The bonus materials set to be included with the Blu-ray release(s) are listed below.

The 1996 film “Space Jam” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on July 6th via Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Joe Pytka, featured NBA legend Michael Jordan as well as the Looney Tunes animated characters. In addition to that, the cast also featured Wayne Knight, Theresa Randle, the voice of Danny DeVito, plus Bill Murray, and NBA players Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, and Patrick Ewing as themselves. The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation with HDR10 form of high dynamic range, while the audio presentation has not yet been detailed. I’m waiting to hear back directly from Warner regarding if this contains Dolby Atmos or simply a lossless 5.1 surround sound mix and I hope to have an update on that for you very soon.
The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” meaning that you’ll get the Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film. UPDATE: The 4K UHD Blu-ray now has a placeholder page over at Amazon, but still is not yet a functional preorder listing. Stay tuned for an update on that. This release will be a MOD (manufacture on demand) title, meaning that you’ll have to purchase it from online retailers. The set’s tech specs include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound, spanning across 20 BD-50 (50 gigabytes) discs for all 125 episodes. The show, created by Greg Daniels & Michael Schur, starred Amy Poehler, Jim O’Heir, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones, Retta, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, and Chris Pratt. You can now find the Blu-ray set available for preorder over at Amazon. The bonus materials set to be included on this set are briefly listed below.

The first four seasons of the popular United States TV series “The Office” will be finally getting released on Blu-ray Disc, as individual seasons, on June 15th via Universal Studios Home Entertainment MOD. These will be manufacture on demand (MOD) titles, which mainly means that you’ll have to order them from online retailers. They had previously only been available via “The Complete Series” Blu-ray set released last year.
The show, a U.S. adaptation by Greg Daniels of the popular U.K. series (of the same title), first aired on NBC in 2005. The U.S. version, in its first four seasons, starred Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Angela Kinsey, Paul Lieberstein, Oscar Nuñez, Phyllis Smith, Mindy Kaling, BJ Novak, and Melora Hardin.
The tech specs include 1080p HD video in the original 1.78:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio for each season, with 2.0 stereo for the first season, and 5.1 surround sound for seasons 2 through 4.
