Karate Kid Legends on 4K and Blu-ray in August

The 2025 sequel “Karate Kid: Legends” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K SteelBook, and Blu-ray on August 26th via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Jonathan Entwistle directed the movie. It stars Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio, Ben Wang, Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, and Wyatt Oleff. It’s worth noting this film is “Verified Hot” based on audience ratings at Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, accompanied by Dolby Vision or HDR10, and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. The 4K release(s) will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. All versions (4K and Blu-ray) include a digital copy of the film, compatible with Movies Anywhere.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook (pictured above), and Blu-ray are now available to preorder at Amazon. The 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K SteelBook, and Blu-ray are also available for preorder at Walmart. Retailer Walmart will get an exclusive 4K UHD Blu-ray Collector’s Limited Edition with a skateboard (pictured below). This release appears to be limited to 510 units (in total), with each skateboard individually numbered and a wall mount kit.

There will also be an Amazon exclusive box set called The Karate Kid Ultimate Collection on 4K UHD Blu-ray coming August 26th. It’s now available for preorder. This will feature physical collectibles (pictured below) and all six films in the franchise. Two of the movies will be making their debut on 4K UHD Blu-ray as exclusives via this set, suitably marked below. This includes the following movies:

IT Chapter Two on 4K and Blu-ray in December

The 2019 sequel “IT Chapter Two” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on December 10th. The film, based on the Stephen King story and directed by Andy Muschietti, stars James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, Andy Bean, Jaeden Martell, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, and Bill Skarsgård (as “Pennywise”). Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray release include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range as well as Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. The releases will both come in the form of “combo pack” with the 4K getting the Blu-ray counterpart, the Blu-ray getting the DVD counterpart, and each receiving a digital code (copy) of the film. You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc available for preorder over at Amazon. It’s worth noting that there will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbook exclusive to retailer Best Buy, which you can now find available for preorder (pictured below). There also will be a “double feature” 4K (of both films) available as an exclusive over at Best Buy.
