The 1990 film “Edward Scissorhands“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook on October 28th via 20th Century Studios (Disney). Tim Burton co-wrote, produced, and directed the movie. It starred Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Dianne Wiest, Anthony Michael Hall, Kathy Baker, and Vincent Price. It’s worth noting that this movie remains “Certified Fresh” based on critics’ reviews at Rotten Tomatoes.
The movie has received a new restoration. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, accompanied by Dolby Vision and HDR10, as well as Dolby Atmos sound, all on a BD-66 disc. The release will come as a 2-disc set “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included, as well as a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere.
The 2024 film “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on November 19th via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The film, directed by Tim Burton, stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti, Jenna Ortega, and Willem Dafoe. It’s worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.
The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray release include 1080p video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound. Both releases include a digital copy compatible with Movies Anywhere.
