Kubrick 3-Film Collection on 4K in September

A set called the “Stanley Kubrick 3-Film 4K Collection“ is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 22nd featuring three of the late director’s classic films, via Warner. The 7-disc set will include the following films, two of which were both previously released and then the third will be coming out the very same day (also individually):
- “The Shining” (1980)
- “2001: A Space Odyssey” (1968)
- “Full Metal Jacket” (1987)
The tech specs for the releases are as follows. All will be presented in the 2160p 4K resolution with HDR10 and Dolby Vision forms of High Dynamic Range and get DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound. One film, 2001: A Space Odyssey, will get HDR10+ form of High Dynamic Range in addition to the two other forms. Aspect ratios are as follows, The Shining in 1.78:1 aspect ratio (mislabeled 1.85:1), 2001: A Space Odyssey in 2.20:1 ratio, and finally Full Metal Jacket in 1.78:1 (mislabeled 1.85:1). Each of the films will come with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart but 2001: A Space Odyssey will also include an additional bonus disc. All three films will get a digital code (copy) of them included as well, making each of them a “combo pack” by definition. Their bonus materials will be identical to those found on the standard individual 4K UHD Blu-ray releases.
