The 1981 Lawrence Kasdan film Body Heat comes to 4K

Lawrence Kasdan wrote and directed the motion picture. It starred William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, Richard Crenna, Ted Danson, Mickey Rourke, J.A. Preston, Kim Zimmer, and Jane Hallaren.

The movie has received a new 4K digital restoration, supervised by editor Carol Littleton and approved by director Lawrence Kasdan. The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) high dynamic range, along with uncompressed [LPCM] 2.0 stereo and lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Linear PCM 2.0 stereo and DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround sound.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Special Edition Blu-ray are now available for preorder at Amazon. Dark City is getting a standard 4K in November

The 1998 movie “Dark City” will get standard edition 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases on November 18th via Arrow Video. Alex Proyas directed and co-wrote the film. The movie starred Rufus Sewell, William Hurt, Kiefer Sutherland, Jennifer Connelly, and Richard O’Brien. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes. NOTE: This release only includes the Director’s Cut and not the theatrical cut.

The movie has received a 4K restoration from the original 35mm camera negative. Director of photography Dariusz Wolski approved this. The tech specs for the 4K include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10. It will consist of Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround, and 2.0 stereo lossless sound. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio. It will also include Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD MA 5.1, and 2.0 sound.

“The Last Full Measure” comes to Blu-ray in April

The 2020 film The Last Full Measure is officially coming to Blu-ray Disc on April 21st, via Lionsgate. The film, inspired by a true story, written & directed by Todd Robinson, included a cast of Sebastian Stan, Christopher Plummer, William Hurt, Ed HarrisSamuel L. Jackson, Michael Imperioli, and the late Peter Fonda. The tech specs for the Blu-ray release include 1080p HD video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 audio. 2010 “Robin Hood” starring Russell Crowe is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in September

The 2010 Ridley Scott directed film adaptation of “Robin Hood” starring Russell Crowe is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on September 11th via Universal. The release will come with an UNRATED Director’s Cut (156 min) of the film, as well as the Theatrical cut (141 min). Tech specs for the release include full 2160p 4K in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 High Dynamic Range and DTS:X sound. This will come in the form of a “combo pack” release with a Blu-ray Disc and Digital Copy of the film included. Bonus materials set to be included on Blu-ray of the release are listed below.
