Sequel Critters Attack! set to arrive on Blu-ray in July

The 2019 TV movie sequel “Critters Attack!“ is coming to Blu-ray Disc on July 23rd via Warner – ahead of it’s October TV debut on the SYFY channel. The movie was directed by Bobby Miller and it features a cast of Dee Wallace, Tashiana Washington, Jaeden Noel, Jack Fulton, and Ava Preston. Tech specs for the Blu-ray have not fully been detailed but you can very certainly expect 1080p video and a 5.1 lossless sound mix. Stay tuned for an updated on the tech specs. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with both a DVD and a digital copy of the film included. The Blu-ray is now available for pre-order over at Amazon. Bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.

Clint Eastwood film “The Mule” comes to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray in April

The 2018 film “The Mule” directed by and starring Clint Eastwood is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on April 2nd via Warner, according to early alerts to retailers. The film, inspired by a true story, co-stars Bradley Cooper, Manny Montana, Michael Peña, Taissa Farmiga, Andy Garcia, Laurence Fishburne, Clifton Collins Jr., and Dianne Wiest.

The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray are both available for pre-order over at Amazon.  Both releases will come in the form of a “combo” pack with the 4K getting a Blu-ray, the Blu-ray getting a DVD, and a digital copy included with each.

UPDATE: Tech specs for the 4K include 2160p video in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of High Dynamic Range and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The tech specs for the Blu-ray include 1080p video in the 2.39:1 aspect and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. Bonus materials set to be included on the releases are listed below.

1984 film adaptation of “Supergirl” comes to Blu-ray in July via Warner Archive

The 1984 film adaptation of DC Comics‘ “Supergirl” starring Helen Slater and Faye Dunaway is coming to Blu-ray Disc on July 24th, in a limited release via the Warner Archive Collection. You already can PRE-ORDER the title either over at Amazon or directly from Warner. This release obviously comes from Warner Brothers. Tech specs for the release have not yet been detailed, but you can for sure expect full 1080p HD video, no clue if it will be presented in the original theatrical 2.35:1 aspect ratio or not, and also no clue yet what sound format it will be presented in. Stay tuned for a possible update.

“Ready Player One” is coming to 4K and Blu-ray in July

The 2018 Steven Spielberg directed film “Ready Player One” is coming to both 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray Disc, and Blu-ray 3D on July 24 from Warner Home Video.

Best Buy is offering SteelBook versions of both the 4K UHD and Blu-ray – as pictured above. They’re available for pre-order now as well as standard versions there and on Amazon – the 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray Disc, and Blu-ray 3D.

UPDATE: Tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray will include full 2160p in the 2.4:1 aspect ratio with both HDR (HDR10) and Dolby Vision video with Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound. The Blu-ray Disc will include identical tech specs, just is in a 1080p resolution.
