Transformers One comes to 4K and Blu-ray in December

The 2024 animated film “Transformers One” is officially slated for releases on 4K UHD Blu-ray, 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook, and Blu-ray Disc on December 17th via Paramount Home Media Distribution. The film, produced by Michael Bay and directed by Josh Cooley, features the voice talents of Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” (by critics) and “Verified Hot” (by audiences) on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K and Blu-ray have not yet been fully detailed, but it is known that the 4K release will include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 high dynamic range. The Blu-ray will be presented in a 1080p HD video presentation in 2.39:1 aspect ratio. Both releases will very likely include Dolby Atmos sound, however, that’s still yet to be fully confirmed. The 4K releases will come as a “combo pack” with the Blu-ray counterpart.

Each of the 4K and Blu-ray releases will include a digital copy. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook are now available for preorder at Amazon. However, there is not a preorder listing yet for the Blu-ray on Amazon. Also, you can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook available for preorder at retailer Walmart, again with no Blu-ray listing yet available, but stay tuned for an update.

The Wild Robot on 4K and Blu-ray in December

The 2024 DreamWorks Animation film “The Wild Robot” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on December 3rd via Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film is based on the book (of the same title) written by Peter Brown. Chris Sanders directed and wrote the movie adaptation. The voice cast features the talent of Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Matt Berry, Ving Rhames, Mark Hamill, and Catherine O’Hara. It’s certainly worth noting that this film is “Certified Fresh” (by critics) and “Verified Hot” (by audiences) on Rotten Tomatoes.

The tech specs for the 4K release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-100 disc. Tech specs for the Blu-ray include a 1080p HD video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio and Dolby Atmos sound, on a BD-50 disc. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray counterpart included. Each release will feature a digital copy of the film that is compatible with Movies Anywhere.
