Bringing Out the Dead comes back to 4K in January

The movie has been “newly remastered from the original camera negative. This exceptional new release was reviewed by Scorsese, cinematographer Robert Richardson, and editor Thelma Schoonmaker.”

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) and Dolby Atmos sound. The release will come as a 2-disc “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and also include a digital code (copy).

The 2000 film Red Planet comes to 4K in November

The 2000 film “Red Planet” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in a Limited Edition set on November 18th via Arrow Video. Antony Hoffman directed the movie. It starred Val Kilmer, Carrie-Ann Moss, Tom Sizemore, Benjamin Bratt, Simon Baker. Also, it co-starred Terence Stamp, Jessica Morton, Caroline Bossi, Bob Neill, and Neil Ross.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10, along with lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. The 1999 dramatic thriller Bringing Out the Dead is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc (for the very first time) in a 2-disc set on September 17th via Paramount Presents (Paramount Home Entertainment). The film, directed by Martin Scorsese, starred Nicolas Cage, Patricia Arquette, John Goodman, Ving Rhames, Tom Sizemore, and Marc Anthony. The 1995 film Heat will officially finally be coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray in a “Director’s Definite Edition” on August 9th via Fox (Disney).  The film, written & directed by Michael Mann, starred Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer, Jon Voight, Tom Sizemore, Ashley Judd, Ted Levine, William Fichtner, and Natalie Portman.

The tech specs for the 4K UHD Blu-ray include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.40:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless surround sound.  The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart and a digital code (copy) of the film included.  You can find the standard 4K UHD Blu-ray now available for preorder over at Amazon.  It’s worth noting that there will be a 4K UHD Blu-ray SteelBook release, which appears to be exclusive to retailer Best Buy (pictured below), now available for preorder.
