1973 film Paper Moon on Criterion 4K and Blu-ray

The 1973 film “Paper Moon” is officially coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray Disc on November 26th via The Criterion Collection. The film, directed by Peter Bogdanovich, starred Ryan O’Neal, Tatum O’Neal, Madeline Kahn, John Hillerman, P.J. Johnson, and Jessie Lee Fulton.

The movie has received a new 4K digital restoration. The tech specs for the release include a 2160p Black & White video presentation in the 1.85:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Vision and HDR10 forms of high dynamic range and LPCM Uncompressed Mono sound. The 4K release will come as a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included. You can find the 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray available for preorder at Amazon or any other retailers but stay tuned for an update. 1980 film Little Darlings comes to 4K in February

The 1980 film “Little Darlings” is coming to 4K UHD Blu-ray on February 27th via Cinématographe, a new sub-label from Vinegar Syndrome.  The film, directed by Ron Maxwell, starred Tatum O’Neal, Kristy McNichol, Armand Assante, Matt Dillon, and Cynthia Nixon.  The release will come as a  MediaBook, limited to 8,000 units total.  The movie has received a “NEW 4K Restoration from the Original Camera Negative.”  The tech specs for the release include a 2160p video presentation in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio with HDR10 form of high dynamic range and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 lossless stereo sound.  This will also be a “combo pack” with its Blu-ray Disc counterpart included.  You can now find the 4K UHD Blu-ray available for preorder over at Amazon as well as directly via Vinegar Syndrome.

1976 film The Bad News Bears is coming to Blu-ray in March

The 1976 film “The Bad News Bears” starring Walter Matthau is finally coming to Blu-ray Disc on March 30th, via Paramount, according to an early retailer listing. The film, directed by Michael Ritchie, co-starred Tatum O’NealVic Morrow, Joyce Van Patten, Ben Piazza, Alfred Lutter III, Chris Barnes, Erin Blunt, and Jackie Earle Haley.

UPDATE #1: well, word has it that Justin Beahm’s Reverendent Entertainment did some new extras for this release. UPDATE #2: well, this has totally made my day and come as a great surprise. Here’s the list of bonus materials set to be included on this Blu-ray Disc debut of the film — via Justin Beahm‘s social media account.
